@@StyLER_YTBE Its different if you don't have a new 3DS, just follow the guide and it says "dpad, left button, select". P.s always use both a video and the actual guide website..
Honestly if I just followed the guide I would of been clueless or done it much slower but with this tutorial it helped me so much to hack my 3Ds for the first time :D so thank you! Love the editing simple and easy to follow ! 😁
Ensure your system date is correct. i was working with a freshly reset 3ds that thought it was 2011 and that didnt allow the QR code to work. Took me half an hour to realize the issue. i feel dumb lol
I got my Japanese 3ds a week ago and im really bad at tech so I was thinking of selling it at the end because I thought I trashed the console but with you’re video with me actually seeing the roms placement ive got it working with homebrew, Thanks brother
After my first successful modding attempt on the old original 3ds I decided that I now feel comfortable enough to try modding a special edition new 3ds xl. Your guide has helped me a lot, since there were quite a few different steps to the old model guide. Thanks to you it all went smoothly! ✨

Thanks a lot for this. This is by far the easiest method I've seen anywhere to homebrew the 3ds. Not to mention this worked on my crappy chromebook is a big plus.
For some reason I can't install the luma3ds. the exploit doesn't work. I've done everything you've outlined, but the when I click the a button pop up, it asks me if I want to open the website. When I click yes, it just brings the a button pop up again, and the loop repeats. Update: It seems the loop just gives up in a blank screen after 10 times in. Update Update: THE DATE! YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE DATE TO THE CORRECT DAY FOR IT TO WORK!!!!
thanks for this video dude !! now ive got a cool modded 3ds to play with :) ive recently updated my old ds lite's r4 cart contents after remembering its existence (which took hours of troubleshooting😭) and thought modding my 3ds would also be as easy as dragging and dropping files into an sd card - and it totally is !! your clear instructional video helped a ton, i appreciate this so much💚

Thanks for the video! I used the video alongside the Guide Website to help make the process easier. Before continuing at 13:45, I also followed the steps on the site to region change from Japanese, which did make the whole process a little longer.

What about formatting the sdcard into Fat32? I have no idea what to do about that outside that this has been very insightful and in-depth. i appreciate this lots!
To prep the SD card, all you need to do is plug it into your system (while off) and power it on - it will automatically format the SD card how it needs to!
after pressing the "GO GO" and colors flash, instead of the homebrew launcher opening, my top screen stays black while the bottom stays blue, this is after I changed my language settings

I spent 2 days trying to do this, thank god everything was going well and if the instructions on the video did not work I always found a solution but AT THE VERY LAST PART..Homebrew apps aren't showing on my 3ds I don't know what to do..
for any games you want to download, Vimm's Lair is the best place. they have an archive of ROMs for any system from the Atari 2600 all the way up to PS3/Wii/Xbox360. search 'vimms lair" on google and you'll find it easy
my nintendo displays the same respond even if i change lenguage and do all the steps. ( before getting to the page it displays that cannot confirm the securiry of the page
Nice video! I didn't use a video guide for modding my 3DS, but if I were to, this would be the best one right now because this was the exact same method I used. since you already modded a 3ds before is there any way I could lose my old 3ds data by mistake from trying to mod it? I already made a back up of my 3ds data on my sd card to my pc but I still worry about the rest of my data that's on my console's main storage as it's my main 3ds and I have tons of memories with it
@@ok-sq5rg I'd imagine there is a way, but as long as you follow the steps, that shouldn't happen. Modding your 3DS won't erase anything that's on your 3DS's main storage, and you already made a backup of your SD card, so that should be fine as well.
If you want to do it, follow the instructions on the website do NOT do it the mr akina way, I know him personally and he EXPLODED 💥 his friends 3ds 🙀🙀🙀

Highly recommend it though :D following this guide is fine as akina is following the 3ds hacks guide very closely and the discord/FAQ is a huge help. as long as you dont do anything you arent sure on, u should be good :)

I get stuck on a yellow screen and get kicked out the browser and I’ve looked all over the internet but can’t get it to get pass that stage to launch homebrew 😢

after scanning the qrcode and closing the internet and pressing on the link in the 3ds I continue to get "an error has occurred. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again." at the bottom and when I try changing my language it does the same thing and idk what to do

Nah, you're not cooked. it's an insurance policy incase something gets borked later in the installation, but if everything went according to plan and it's working you're okay
yes, you'll want to insert the new SD card into the system and turn it on. The console should say something like "Formatting your storage" for a moment, but once it makes it to the home screen, you're good to go!
I believe Nintendo made an update version where it bricks modded 3ds’ so would I download it when you said I should or should I wait for everything to be installed and use the universal updater I have a second question as a reply to this one
I would update to the newest version beforehand to make things easier, but the hacks have been patched for the update you mentioned! Unless something just released, everything still works 100%. For your other question, you can probably swap the language to English before you start the hacks, I don't believe the language matters too much during the install.

Great video man, thank you for the content. I am new to this so I have a question. I did the mod on a small 4gig SD card and everything is working great. I would like to know if I can just copy all of the files over to a larger SD and it still work or do I have to start all over again.
to be honest, i'm not 100% sure! I don't think so, but it's possible i'm wrong! would do your research first though - there's a whole discord full of people far smarter at this than I am
you misplaced or didnt place the arm11code.bin file. make sure it is on the root of your sd card. the root means the file isnt inside of any folders. it should be able to see the 3ds file.
hi, I heard that nintendo is releasing some kind of update that tries to brick modded consoles and i saw some videos that say that you need to go to the universal updater and download luma or lumos i forgot and then i saw that twilight menu was for original games and im kinda confused. could you please explain in detail every app you downloaded or you can download?

inserting new game carts is no problem at all! I've also transferred data on and off of my microSD card with this hack setup and it's been totally fine, so I would say there's no big risk associated. Just make sure you only transfer game data, and leave all the default Nintendo and hacks folders in their place
This video tutorial is specifically for the "New" line of systems - if it's an original 3DS XL this setup will not work. Check the website I linked for a guide on your system just to be sure!
For that, I would probably check around with forums online. That's a weird situation for sure, they also have their own discord where you can ask questions and people who are much more qualified can help with all of that stuff
I get a pink screen and then an error occurs and I am directed to power off my console, anyone know how to fix this? I’ve tried multiple times with no success
Everything went perfectly up until the Twilight menu section, I downloaded twilight menu and all that but the "roms" folder never showed up, what should I do?
Can I use a completely new 32gb micro sd card or do I need to use the one that comes with my 3ds? As long as my new sd card has the Nintendo folder it should be fine right?
