I enjoy watching your videos...concise, clear instructions, clean work surface, great textured pieces. Wish you would continue with more videos...i learn a lot. Best wishes
Nicely done. The artist’s eye is a wondrous thing! Fresh uses for old objects-a doily, an old rusty gear, twig. . . Your shaping techniques are great. I especially appreciate how you create mug bottoms! Thanks for all the tips. Your bird feeder tutorial was such a help and so much fun. Many happy birds around here thanks to you.
The circumference of the mug itself is 11 inches, so the diameter is 11/3.14=3.5. It looks like a quarter inch on either side, so add .5. The diameter of the base piece is 4 inches.
Very nicely done, Rana. How thick did you roll out the prepared slab? What are mug/slab measurements....5" x __"? Why do you bevel mug edges at 60 degree angle vs 45 degrees? What is diameter of circle cutter for bottom/floor of mug? Lots of questions - thank you in advance.
Hi ! You have a great youtube channel. WoW! Very intersting videos. W0w! I wish prosperity to your channel. I wish 1000,000 views for each video. WoW! Have a nice weekend. May God bless you and all your family. Good luck. 🍑 🥭 🍍 🥥 🥝 🍅 🍆 🥑 Very nice! Cool!
The clay seems a bit to thick for the base, making it look applied but not integrated. Perhaps if you narrowed the base by removing some v shaped "darts" the added thickness of the overlapping bottom slab would blend in. It's just my opinion, but overall the handle is also huge and detracts from the intricate fine pattern of the lace. There is just too much fighting going on with the gigantic handle and large base that fights for attention with the pattern. If you want an overall Very Large Mug, all the extra very large additions just fight for attention, not to mention add weight. Must be a monster with 16-18 oz of liquid, if the red cup is any indicator. Hope you don't stop working on these, they are inspired!!
I’ve viewed the video many times, but this is the first time I’ve wanted to comment. Each time I’ve viewed, the only thing that bothered me was your hair that was in the way the whole time you attached the handle. Very annoying. Other than that, I learned a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Please speak louder as your comments are difficult to hear. Also please tie your hair back as it hinders seeing clearly exactly what you are doing. Thank you.
I’m not a professional videographer. I’m an amateur ceramic artist that spends some time in my basement studio after working 50+ hours a week at my day job. My curly hair hangs because that’s how I wear it. You don’t need to know that I get migraines from tying my “curly black hair” back but now you do. In other words, I post these videos to give back to the clay community and this is all I’m capable of. Thanks for the view!
