I have one week to 4 day old baby budgies. The original parents drowned the first born chick, so I removed the remaining eggs to a broody hen that had laid unfertilized eggs (She does not have a mate). She has raised the babies up until now but I feel she is stressed and I want to intervene. What is the best way in doing it? Pull the two oldest chicks and let her take care of the remaining two or pull all four?

Hey Salvador, I have one question. I move things around in my two budgies cage a lot. But they only sit on the perch at the top of their cage. They dont move and just stare at each other and don't even chirp. I don't know why they don't interact with anything much.

hi- so I own a lot of parakeets, and mine went through the same thing. If they’re new- I’d leave the cage alone and don’t move anything unless truly needed. Id put some millet in there and have them be together to bond.

Have been handfeeding them. You can begin giving seeds after 1.2 months gently in very small portions in a feeder (they should learn to eat on their own), but continue giving the formula but in smaller amounts as you increase the seed amount to make your budgie interested and start eating seeds. After you see them eating seeds on daily basis everytime, stop giving formula and by 1.5 months they shall start eating normally like an adult

Bro i have 3 chicks with their parents one is 24 days older, another one is 22 days older, last chicks is 19 days older can I tame them if I start to hand feed them pls reply bro and should I separate them from their parents or let them be there because I can't feed them during afternoon as I will be in the school can I feed them in morning, evening and night alone other time let their parents feed them and if I do that can I keep them in a card board box inside the cage floor
