I'm a beginner at doing nails & what I've struggled with the most is shaping/filing, & this is the most informative video I've watched! TYSM 💕 I can't wait to do my next set using your helpful tips 😊
moon flower I’m so glad this was helpful. It took me a while to file like this so I’m happy I can share the tips I learned throughout the year. Happy nails 🥰💕
Ahhh so glad it was helpful for you! I also have a cuticle video where I talk about application and filing for the cuticle area. A lot of people have said it was helpful! Thanks for this comment 🧡
I appreciate this video. I feel I have a better understanding of how to hand file. You also answered my question regarding grit and numbers. I needed to know what number means what. I had it backwards as I thought the higher the number the coarser the file. Thanks so much! I’ll be keeping this video in my saved list for reminders.

You are so welcome! And yesss, the best thing I ever did was using pre shaped tips omg it's a life and time saver lol. You're so sweet & I'm so glad the video was helpful ☺️💕
Thank you for doing this video!!! I’ve struggled with filing/shaping... this was very helpful. I appreciate the explanation provided as you’re working.
Buffers are totally different to files, you use a buffer once you have finished filing all your nails. A buffer is to remove the scratches on your nails that a file will leave. Great video thanks for showing!
Ivon Rodriguez Yes!! Thank you for this comment, I forget to mention it in the video. You definitely are gonna want to use a buffing block after to get rid of the scratches. Glad you enjoyed 😊
Mind if you do use a grit of 80 or 100 over the surface of your nails always use a buffer afterwards as you get micro cracks,l use 100 grit for my sides or a metal nail file, only 2£ from ali express and that includes the sticky files also. 180 is great for the nail surface plus you have less chance of getting micro cracks, tiny cracks you can't see but will eventually turn into a break. That's why some people get cracks were the free edge finishes and the extention meets.
how long does polygel last in the tube before it get's expired?? Does it even get expired? i just bought 12 tubes of 15g polygels but i'm worried it'll be expired before I use them all since I paid a lot for them. also thanks for this video :D I'm just getting started in polygel nails since I'm in quarintine and this helped me alot in knowing what to do in how to file them once I get the polygels.
kpop trash From what i know, youur polygel will not expire in the tube as long as it is kept out of sunlight and led/uv light. Im so glad this video was helpful & i hope you end up loving working with polygel 🥰
Is there a way I can use my poly gel nail kit a different way? I am not good at doing things with my left hand because I’m right handed. Is there a way to design all the nails then putting them on ?
All around my cuticle has lol extra gel that dried underneath light I also think apply gel topcoat irs over the cuticle w me having to file under it to slifjr break it off this mt 1st set I got 2 w tips I didn't use forms the shape near the cuticle very nice but the the other rest was lumpy I shape good but the lumpy I dunno well how to get it even
