My dad (not a single dad just had more patience for such things than mom) used to sew my sister's teddy back together. It was a vintage teddy and much loved which meant it frequently needed "medical" attention. LOL. My dad's no longer with us and one of my favorite childhood memories is of him sewing teddy's head back on. Your child will cherish this memory forever. 💚

Oh my God, I cannot thank you enough for this video! I've tried for years to figure out how this was done! In crochet and knitting we use almost the same type of stitch but it's called the mattress stitch. I can't believe I didn't put the two together and realize it would be used this way in hand sewing. What a DUH moment for me! Again, thanks a million for the video!

I used this method to fix my son's fuzzy robe. I figured out after I was almost done that I should have been sewing from the outside, not the inside. The good news is this stitch is easy to undo so it worked out well. One wouldn't even know it was stitched if it wasn't for the fact that the material had some jagged edges and so it didn't line up well in some spots, but other places you can't even tell. Thanks for the vid.

That stitch is one I've always wanted to learn. And it seriously would come in handy if you have a darker or brighter shade thread than the material used, and can hide the stitch. Definitely going to try this. It was easy to understand.
