And the worst of the worst is a jealous mother who is now, due to her jealousy, unwilling to unconditional love and support her daughter. A daughter who will be confused, depressed, frustrated, and neglected for decades until she figures this horrible truth out. A daughter who then realizes her mother never loved her and has to come to terms with that. Not only that, but a daughter who will have experienced a smear campaign, backstabbing campaign, and leaving-out campaign thanks to the one woman in the world who was supposed to unconditionally love her. Those of you who identify with this, know that the scapegoat in the family is the one who resembles Christ the most! @@sophial.2438 As the daughter of a jealous mother, your comment made me feel better even though it is a heartbreaking situation to be in. I can deal with acquaintances, coworkers or neighbors who are jealous of me, because they don't owe me anything after all. They don't even have to like me. But a family member is supposed to love you, and your mother is supposed to love you the most because she's the one who chose to bring you into this world. Unfortunately some mothers are unable or unwilling to give love to their children. As you said, the best thing you can do in these circumstances is to build your own family.
I agree 100%. I grew up the scapegoat, with my “mother’s” world revolving around jealousy of me, tearing me down, bullying me and even calling several of my employers in my past trying to get me fired. I’ve finally gone no-contact with her, and am seeing a therapist for c-ptsd for a lifetime of hell from a jealous, cruel and vindictive “mother”. Godspeed ladies, we are so much better than that, and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. ❤

As a successful woman in a male dominant field, jealous men like to laugh at my ideas while stealing and presenting them as theirs, they also love to talk about my appearance (how old and "off market" I am for being single and over 40s) while spreading lies about me being involved with them, even the married ones! Same behaviour as jealous women towards my appearance, my money and my independency from my also successful partners. So, I honestly think it's a matter of character, not gender. We all should accept jealousy as a normal human trait and canalize energy towards improving ourselves and not downplaying others to feel better. It's so ugly.
@@seabreeze4559 Usually I present my ideas on brainstorming meetings and they ignore it or make funny noises in front of everybody, and repeat exactly what I said. Just like that. The other men accept better, almost immediately when coming from a man, not woman. But it's really funny to see them struggling to elaborate more details about the approach, since they don't fully thought through it. Once a guy stole a woman's colleague files from her pc and built his project on top of her basis. Outrageous, I know. But plot twist, he forgot to review some mistakes she hadn't have time to fix yet. Her presentation was faultless and she ended up leading him on this specific project. Other thing they love to do is to have secret "informal meetings" without women and say it's just coffee time, hide documents and data from us to delay our outcomes, or not engage on project lead by us. And all of this just for jealousy.
I feel self absorbed people are more ego driven and they want to be the central of attention. And they want to be admired. That is why older women are jealous than younger women. People who are egotistical like to be in the superior position. And they hate that people are better than them. They love to power trip people. Either by being high and mighty. Or by being holier than thou and preaching to people about kindness. They love pretending they are perfect but lack respect.

Jealousy is a real problem when someone tries to sabotage you at work or socially. Sometimes you need to shut people down but most of the time i ignore them and the truth comes out about their lies
I have dealt with jealous women my whole life. It is very complicated and difficult to deal with.these women create so much damage in other people's lives, whether they act knowingly or not
I had an art classmate who finished my joy in the class - she saw the teacher really liked me & my work, so she acts sweet but would interrupt every time i spoke to the teacher (& doesn't to anyone else). Also, pushes me off the benches by setting her stuff up near mine, takes my equipment...& finally when she realised i stay last & have nice teacher time, she brought in work to show the teacher at class end. They also talked about me in a different language & she got the teacher to speak in that for her one on one advice, so i couldn't listen in & learn too. I was always the one who looked bad, since I would raise my voice when: she pushed me off, interrupted, & took my stuff- so it always looked like i was the one being unpleasant instead of her! Luckily, because I've had so many problems with people being jealous, this time I saw it right from the start, so i didn't waste much emotional energy on feeling hurt, sad and angry. And luckily i reached a point of wanting to pursue other goals and could just leave permanently.
I think the jealousy out there, along with insecurities, has escalated to making navigating the social world like an all out daily war. If some women have talent, beauty, feminine gentleness, feminine kindness, critical thinking abilities, anything people see as "high quality." Instead of enjoying this in a person they make reputation sabotaging comments. This is why women dim their light and hide their benefits. Men really must search to find these hidden gems.
Feeling jealousy for another woman can be turned into a positive. I have asked myself why am I jealous of this woman? What is it that I am jealous of? The next question is, what can I do to level up and achieve the thing I am jealous about. Do I need to take more time and effort when planning outfits? Do I need to read a book so I can understand what she was talking about so that I can join in next time? And so on. It’s an emotion that if used properly can make you level up and become your better self.
I know a singaporean lady who is very kind and invites me to networking events. She has impeccable taste. I'm jealous of outfits- they aren't my style but she always looks so polished. I'm doing the work to upgrade my wardrobe and put together better looks on a budget. I think to myself.. how would she style it? how can I style it on myself ? I use jealousy as fuel to improve myself instead of being wistfully and self defeating jealous .

As much as I love social media, it is playing a big role in mental health issues IMHO. Many lies and liars around making people feel insecure and less privileged, to say the least. It’s called Tall Poppy syndrome. It was discussed recently when UK journalist Louise Perry interviewed top Canadian female sports coach. Many experiments were carried out where a group of girls and women were exposed to a beautiful and successful athlete that entered the room dressed in a provocative outfit. Gossiping, tearing down talk, side glances and even bursting with laughter were all captured on film by the researchers.
This experiment is ridiculous. Of course people aren’t going to like when someone is dressed provocatively, they are looking for a safe friend to share a life with, which includes access to there significant other. I absolutely refuse to allow an immodest woman around my daughters or husband. It’s a basic protective instinct.

I had lots of girls and even teachers in school who were jealous but I never allowed that to pull me down. My feminine and calm mature manner was what got me through just being myself. Also my long hair since I've always had long luscious hair, my hair gets tons of compliments when I'm out. It's rare to find someone especially where I live to have the length of hair that I have.

I believe jealousy and envy are slightly different in that as a married woman, if another woman flirts with my husband, it is natural for me to have a certain feeling about that situation “ I would feel jealous.” On the other hand if I for example love handbags and I am a collector and maybe Anna has a nice rare handbag that I would love to get and I can’t obtain that bag, and I begin to have some negative emotions because I want something that belongs to someone else, then that is Envy and it’s quite dangerous.”
Exactly, I see in English the word jaelousy is much used with the meaning of "envy". Envy is always a mean feeling. Jaelousy can also be the innocent attempt to protect one's beloved from being "stolen" by someone else...

I understand that there will always be jealousy unfortunately as I’ve lived it frequently; but what I fail to understand is all of the advise says “focus on yourself” and/or “limit contact,” well that’s what I do and have always done…. But when these jealous women engage in what Anna mentions earlier: “smear campaign”, “sabotage”, etc and you are obviously being negatively affected despite best efforts (and maybe also forced to be around these people..) WHAT ARE YOU TO DO THEN?!!

1.Don't block the isle, be aware of your surroundings wait for people to go past , say excuse me if you need to squeeze by in a narrow aisle, 2.Only grab what you want. some people are weird about buying things people have already just touched. 3 Be polite to the cashier, if you bring your own bags for groceries give them to the cashier bagger first so that its not a big deal for them to pull things out already bagged and firmly and gently say "please use these instead " 4.Dress nice casual in comfortable but classy shoes - do yourself up with a slicked back ponytail and natural looking makeup if your feeling a bit lazy and don't want to do full face. think "clean girl aesthetic" You never know if you could find a potential: client/ new job / spouse/ friend or run into an ex while shopping ! I will never forget how mortified I was when I saw a lady I met at my work I was hoping to catch as client shopping the same big buy store as me while looking for deals on dvds but I was dressed in my weekend grungy gardening clothes and she looked put together ! I didn't expect to see her there and it's a completely different style of neighborhood in which I work. I felt embarrassed and dowdy. You don't have to be dressed to the 9's just neat and and have your clothes in good repair , not faded and not pilly. Take it from me , nothing ruins your credibility more than looking worn out and shabby on your day off ! Best wishes in your level up endeavors 🥰

I feel like the most difficult thing for me is to figure out how to react to people being jealous of me because sometimes they make weird comments and I know that their intention is to bring me down slightly (and it's very subtle but very predictable because I see the pattern repeat itself over and over again with these people) and I know they do it to make themselves feel better and not inadequate in that moment but it affects me unfortunately.
Thanks for talking about this uncomfortable topic. I have been jealous due to my own insecurities and feelings of inadequacy. But, even though I used to feel like the underdog, lots of women have been extremely jealous of me. It is not a matter of self perception: Even when self perception is not adequate other people can envy certain things about you. I started been aware of external jealousy back in College. Some people even tried to harm me with character assassination and more extreme behaviors. To be in that situation is terrible, where you can't trust no one. As my self confidence grew, as I found my true self, my fear of them lessened to the level of not caring about their shortcomings. It took me years to build a strong personality, but now as an adult I live my life with a true sense of personal validation and appreciation.
Jealousy hurts people. It causes people to be hurtful, emotionally and/or physically. It’s so critical to. let it go and implement a positive coping skill, such as working towards the goal you want, exercising to get endorphins up etc. ❤wishing others well beings blessing to you and everyone around you.
I have a friend/co-worker who is jealous of me because I am working part time somewhere else so I can eventually leave the job I work at with her. I was surprised that she wasn't at all happy for me and instead started giving me the cold shoulder and making under the breath comments. Some friend. Anna, you are quite right that we cannot control how others react towards us. It took me a very long time to understand that jealousy could be at the root of other people’s animosity towards me. Initially I thought, “Oh, they must not really know me; they wouldn’t treat me so poorly if they knew how benevolent a person I am and how I want the best for them.” So I would try to make more of an effort to put my best foot forward ~ then was flummoxed when I was treated just as badly ~ or worse. What I didn’t realize was that some people will resent you regardless …because it’s their own internal demons that drive their emotions. When one reacts negatively to those jealous of you, they feel validated in their dislike and belief that you don’t deserve whatever blessing you’re enjoying. For those who struggle with jealousy: Please remember that even the most beautiful women have physical insecurities. Those with material wealth have their own life struggles, and those in happy relationships still experience worry and stress. Once you understand this, it may make it easier to quell those unpleasant emotions. Sadly, those who are most prone to malicious jealousy are the least likely to engage in introspection and pursue emotional growth. The more mature one becomes, the easier it is to assess the emotions one manifests and develop healthy, productive coping strategies. As others have commented: It’s not as though those with minimal jealous tendencies are oblivious to others, but rather we’re able to recognize things that we admire in others - and use that recognition to motivate us. 🙂
I never understood this until I became more aware. It takes an insane amount of healing to understand why we do the things that we do. And yet I don't puty or envy jealous women because I understand that they're wounded souls. Projection is real when you understand it from that perspective
I keep repeating listening to what you said and I remember when I ever have an experience that someone jealous of me but they don't even brave to tell me anything but behind me, they are so mean to treating me and afraid if their boyfriend or even a husband will come to me . And that moment is really change my life, now I don't even treat myself as before and I was like someone who never care about myself, sometimes I only brush my hair 2 or 3 days ones, never using makeup, using a face cream just when if i want to. What another people speak is like a knife killing me but my body is still alive. I ever met so mean person because they said if we can talk anything and we have a chat often and when I want to leave the job and they told me if I want to have a higher salary be better I work in the bar as a prostitute, I don't even believe they say that because they are my boss, so everything I tell them because I don't like to work with them. Everytime I work with them is killing me, I work with them until 3 and half years, even when I was sick I want to go to the doctor but they don't let me go. Now I got the result of my health, I cannot walk longer, the longer I walk the more pain on my legs and swelling because a lot of the clot is blocking my vessel and the blood is not flowing well. And now I go to the cardiologist to treat my blood vessel and veins working as normal as possible. I really envy when I walk in the city and a saw a lot of people have a healthy feets, the more I walk the more pain on my legs and awhile I was thinking about it then I always cry. I do my job as best as I could be but I don't get what I deserve and it really hurt me. I'm sorry if my comments is not good to read, and thank you for this video. Have a great day to you all.
My coworker is jealous of me. I started to be jealous of her too because I fear she might steal my work and resources and take credit of it since I also teach her, she is also my subordinate. She started exhibiting mood swings and when I do not show all of my knowledge to her or help (since i also have tons of work to do and I state my boundaries), she gets cocky and talks behind my back. Which is why I started distancing from her.

If everyone would just mind their own business and live and let live, life would be much easier. One good thing I’ve found about getting much older is that when I wear something daring, instead of getting slut shamed, women more often compliment my outfit, or some article of clothing or say straight out that I’m beautiful and I often have been told that I look like a Barbie (yeah, if she was middle aged 🙂) Sometimes it’s older women, sometimes younger, sometimes teens and sometimes younger girls. I guess I get to finally enjoy shining later in life, and it’s so refreshing to get positive vibes around instead of all the bitchy negativity I used to get. I’m not doing anything differently than my younger self, still dressing as expressively as I can without trying too hard, the only thing that’s different is my age. Just sharing this to give some hope that it is possible for it to ease up as we get older. Yes, there are elderly jealous women, but more likely, they confess to it…say for example, because I have a much better figure (I should if I’m decades younger than them, so they’re trying to compare apples to oranges) Others who aren’t elderly but don’t have good figures need to try to realize that my better figure has nothing to do with them, nor is it my fault if they don’t look good. Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful. I put a lot of work into looking my best…especially after middle age, the metabolism slows down and I have to try harder to get and stay in shape, so others aren’t entitled to something I have because I earned it. If they want to get a better figure, they will also have to work for it, because we don’t all have model genes and natural beauty.

I think the key is to not compare, no other, with your own. Never gallop with others, do the gallop for yourself. Comparing to others, is just waste of time. Why? My sister was jealous and she reached out to TOUCH MY BOOBS without asking or warning to tell me they’re small when i lost like 100lbs. Then she kept telling me stuff about my clothes, my body, and my face being something i should be insecure about. We were both overweight but i was the only one that kept exercising and dieting, so only 2 years later she starts letting me know all the other things i need to fix.
A lot of times they aren’t even insecure, their jealousy comes from the fact that they just don’t want you to have something that they have, because they don’t want you to be on the same level as them. They want to always be superior, than everyone else. How come I don’t get jealous? This isn’t high school. I left that crap behind years ago and started just focusing on myself, that’s the whole reason I was able to go back to college because I am obsessed with self improvement and nothing or no one else. These women are acting as if they are still going through puberty. It’s very annoying because I’ve been dealing with this for over a decade with females, why do they always have to target me to compete with? They need to find a new target to compete with because I want no part of it.
I’m never jealous of genuinely beautiful successful women. But I am very uncomfortable around arrogant women who flaunt themselves in my face deliberately. It’s disturbing. Confident women don’t tend to project.
I think one of these statements mixed up jealousy and envy: jealousy is wishing or wanting what someone has/being afraid to lose something. If feelings become malicious beyond that, it is envy.

I'm still learning how to let go. F.e. something is not running smoothly at work or at home and there is nothing else I can do. Instead of letting go I sometimes phone, talk, do things. And for observers I look like a maniac.
I have a friend who is a "trust baby", grew up with a lot of money. Has never had to work much. Is jealous of other people all of the time, always wants to know what I paid for things, seemingly because she always feels entitled to have more than others. Then she accuses me of not being empathetic enough toward her. She complains of how hard it is to manage her trust! Go figure.

Dear Anna, I love how You transformed, and this journey is the best PR for your work as could be! A few days ago my boss told me: Everybody hates You, and you should do something about this. When I asked him for facts, he replied: Well, no names, and no facts - they all have just strong feelings. Me: Ok. so do You like my work? He: Yes, there was never a problem. Me: So send them to talk with me personally, if they have so pants...He: They won't tell You. I asked some of my favorite colleagues, and they said, that there is nothing...so, what else can I do? I watched some videos about sigma females, spend a day in bed on the weekend, with headache, and I think, the only difference between me and some of them - I don't compare myself. Instead I move forward, mostly everyday in baby steps. So mostly 55 years of baby steps brought me pretty far. Today I will tell my boss, that for my good work, I need a safe space, and he might be the person to guarantee it. He got my loyalty, and this is the price. I came to this conclusion after talking to my therapist, and after 2,5 hours latino dances last evening. Thank god, they don't know, how I can dance...So thank You a lot for the advise, there is nothing we can do about the jealousy of other people, they will alway find a point. Have a great time!
I realized that if i would cut off all jealous girlfriends ,i remain lonely. Because 80 percent of women are jealous. Its annoying because i was never jealous of anybody ,i am maybe too focussed on myself. Actually instead of beeing jealous i admire successful or well dressed people. Most times they’re just jealous because you’re not bound to their value system. It’s not that they wish they were you, it’s that they don’t want you beyond their control and they must punish you. The most effective thing is when they try to humiliate you, just embarrass them by exposing their pettiness and shame them for it very publicly. Screw the holier than thou bs virtue signaling of taking the “moral high ground”. That’s just coping with loss and everybody knows it.
There is seldom a way around jealousy. I have been married for 50 years to a man who loves me dearly and will do anything for us. We have thrived, have a nice comfortable life. No matter who the woman is, no matter how nice and generous I am, I will always be despised and hated for this. But even with that being understandable, the ones just like me, who are long married and have comfortable lives, they are incensed because they want to be the only special one!!! They cannot stand it that they aren’t the only ones on the pedestal. While being polite they will hope disaster strikes to you and yours.

Ones I was in sports caffe ,and Chris,and that woman Sofia ,were there,I am serious I was wearing a austere alfet ,no makeup,he was looking at me for 2 hours,I was sitting in a position that I couldn't see but I felt it, therefore she heat me ,arras me for long, I pray for her to leave , became all she wanted, you know my husband is a lawyer,so by the time we were ready for a restraining order 😳
