Too true. These people are deeply miserable, have far too much time on their hands, and nothing going on in their lives. As soon as I get an inkling that someone is the type to whisper/gossip about people, I keep my distance, and deal with them with a long handled spoon. Misery loves company!

First of all shout out to you T-JTI. Real talk!!!! @ carrie hopewell As annoying as this stuff is..and it is...you have to look at it in its proper context. People are cowards by nature because its easy to judge from a distance than to get to know who a person is. I keep people at arms length because you have to in order to keep your sanity. At my job people are rude, dismissive, judgmental all the time....yet simultaneously so damn fascinated by me that they do anything and I mean ANYTHING to get fraction of my energy or a clue about what makes me tick. How psychotic is that? However, let it be their psychosis. Think of it as an extremely backwards complement.

This is the reason I'm a very private person. Because I dont want people spreading things about me. But I've learned that even when you are private some people may try to manufacture lies about you based on some simple known facts about you....smh. People who spread lies are usually jealous of you because their lives are miserable and they want to drag you down to their level. It's best to just stay quiet when someone is spreading rumors because those that know you well wont care and wont think less of you regardless. The truth will come out some way and karma will handle the gossiper💯💯💯

I AM a private person and a neighbor STILL smeared me... wiretapped my house and made vicious false accusations that caused a lot of harm including loss of a lot of money. Even being private doesn't save you from a malignant narcissist who is willing to break the law. "Thems the breaks" they say.

I have people like that at my job I can never get away from these people like never everytime I see this person it’s always a problem she always trying to look for something bad in me I just wish she can disappear I don’t have to see her face again I don’t want to be around this person because this person is toxic I can’t have that around me because I will become like them too so in order for me to be happy I have to keep my distance from people like this.

Same happend to me. Was talking to a guy and some jealous people thought it was fun to ruin it by spreading rumors that i fucked other guys and that person even went so far to show 'evidence'. He showed conversations with a girl he probably fucked and just put my name there to make it look it was me. The guy I spoke with wanted time but i have heard he is talking shit about me too now. I have been putting all my energy in trying to find evidence so yesterday I went to the rumor spreader and have now everything on camera. But you know what, now that i porved my point, I don't even want to interact with the guy I spoke with because why should I have to put this much time and effort into someone who just wants to believe others. I SHOWED him the real me and he still believed the rest. If it's meant to be, it will be. That means that neither the guy i spoke with nor the girl you spoke with were meant for us. Just ignore them, you don't have to prove them anything and if she wants to believe them, it's her loss.

I just experienced something like this today. The boyfriend of a female coworker at my job called me up today saying he would have to beat me up because I body shamed his girlfriend. I kept telling him that I didn’t know what he was talking about. I was friends with his girlfriend and she knows I’m not that type of person. When he called me, I was so shook and confused. Unfortunately I couldn’t get through to him. So now I’ll just continue to live my life and not even think about it. Somebody at my job must’ve made up a lie.

I have been through this a lot Tyler. I enjoy proving them wrong. The more you talk, the more I excel. When I was younger I use to try to defend myself. Now, I have gotten tough skin. I had a guy who I worked with who would tell me to do random jobs. I had just been trained up on a new job and told by trainer not to do any other jobs on the side as I had to make sure machinery was working properly. This guy asks me to do some jobs that I'm not trained on. I said thats not my job or even in my department, I was just doing what I was trained to do. If I left to do something else and something when wrong, that was on me. He proclaimed that he was a manager. I found out later that he wasn't. He tried to get me into trouble with the real management. I get called to the office. I told management that I was just doing as I had been told to do, but I also mentioned that he'd been bothering me allot. He ends up getting into trouble because the management saw he wasnt working on camera. After that someone approched me and said that he had said to tell me that he 'hated me' and had been putting in a bad word to everyone. I ended up losing my job and got put in a lower role. The worst thing about it was noone told me that I was being replaced on my job. Someone else walked in and just took over what I was doing one day.

I'm being called a "snitch" which is some elementary thing to say in high School, and this person just keeps telling everyone about it , when it is obviously lies since he doesn't even know what happened, or has any proof. he talks behind my back but never comes up to me. i don't know what to do I'm just planning to stand up for myself but im usually the anti- social person who does not talk to people, I'm a serious person and only talk to certain people. it's giving me stress for no reason when I know I shouldn't be worrying about something that is a lie but, everyone stares at me now.

kimmy Chavez. peace and blessings to you. In a situation like that, don't focus on that person who is spreading lies and rumors because soon of a later, he will get exposed by his or her wrong doing. Park Jiminie honestly, i dont see anything wrong with being a "snitch". The people in my class use that term all the time and its why i never really see people getting told on by the actual student. If your telling a teacher that someone is doing something wrong, then your improving the learning environment and helping other people learn. Its just an endless cycle of people getting involved in things that they shouldn't be. Someone being called a snitch really is a stupid thing to call someone as they are doing the right thing. My friends on the bus were talking to this frenemy of ours and he pointed out my friend saying "you think that because you like to learn" in a sarcastic voice which is honestly really stupid. If you like to learn, its going to lead you to a great life. Besides, even if you won't have a friend in school, you should have a friend outside of school who can understand your situation and help you.

Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it. My ex girlfriend (and some of her friends) from 8th grade and early High school started spreading serious rumors about me after I broke up with her. This whole situation started around this time five years ago. People kept giving me a hard time during my 10-12 grade years. I graduated from High school about year and a half ago and I still occasionally get text messages from old classmates saying that I’m a piece of shit. Personally I just wish people would leave me alone and move on with their lives because this rumor happened a few years ago.

Somehow it is harder to believe that I'm reading a book and minding my own business than...get this...that I'm working with a gang AND corrupt cops. 🙄 I'm disabled, don't know a single cop nor have I ever been involved with any gangs. I just know that I'm losing the use of my legs and while I can, I'm reading outside for a few hours a day instead of only seeing the 4 walls in my apartment. They're not going to run me away with their paranoid delusions and puffed up ego and sense of self! I'm doing what I always have, reading and minding my own business. They've turned out to be horrible "friends" and a type of "Christian" that doesn't follow scripture...which I have no room in my life for. It sure would be nice if they'd MOVE though!

How do you change the world. More like the same question. It is amazing to me that people who spreads fake or bad rumors has no empathy or remorse anymore for how they can devastate a persons image or soul in the first place. Not seeing what they do and actually look upon themselves before they do it as good people. They can traumatize a person just, because some dumb person or a narcissist has created a false rumor about a person. 10-20-30 people. How can people Not understand, that they are not directly helping the narcissist or a bad person, but they subconsciously help him/her hurting other people and then the toxic person is just laughing behind the scene. Do you want to help those toxic people create a world like that. NO! Wake up out there! Dont take part in it and spread fake or bad news! Break that human behavior pattern. Think by yourself and commit to take part in the goodness of healing and passion for the entire community. Talk to the person that is hurt. Tell them. It is bigger than yourself!

annalise D Tell a teacher or friend/adult who you think will care and help. If that doesn’t work, confront her-if you don’t want to, I suggest you try become friends with her/her friends, and some how get dirt on her, or something you can create into a rumour. I know you might want to be better than that and not be as bad as her, not stoop to her level, but I personally think just try fight fire with fire, if you do it too these stereotypes, they usually stop. She spreads your shit, you spread her shit. I’m so sorry, this is just my opinion, good luck.

Well the person who spread a big LIE about me is a public figure with many Instagram followers. She lied to her husband, to my husband. I confronted her on a telephone call and she admitted she lied about me. I went to her house and confronted her husband. This person has told many lies to the police and her ex and former husband, she tried to blame her divorce on us when she was the one who messed up. this person has a 1st class degree, lives in a good sized house, and has appeared on a very well known TV series. Karma got her so bad her whole world collapsed. So much changed in her life. MOREL of story-- TRUST YOUR instincts with people no matter how long you have known them for. DONT LET THEM INTO YOUR LIFE and don't do business with them.

Connor Shekelstein just because somebody is related to you, doesn't mean you have to like them. You can just keep it to polite formalities, keep your head up and walk away. At family gatherings, stay away from them and stay closer to those relatives older that are more mature. Make sure you don't give them a chance to be alone with you. Cutting them out of your business is best. They won't be the first relative in history to be cut off for their behavior - nor will they be the last.

There is this girl who is my ex-friend that constantly talks about me to other people saying I’m rude when I’m around and CAN HEAR WHAT SHES SAYING. She does it on person and I don’t know why she’s always trying to bring up our past arguments to other people. I have no idea if it’s my problem if I look weak or not doing enough to prevent it or if it’s her problem with her pride. I have no idea and it spoils my whole school experience.

Connor Shekelstein it has to do w cause and effect. Which is a universal law. Everything is connected in the universe and we can only understand so much about what’s beyond. (Like spirit). You can make karma exist too through thought and manifestation. Even witchcraft is a thing which so many ppl claim that it works. Someone told lies about me last year and when one of the lies was said to be false, said person was called a liar and was bashed by multiple people sometime following it. I'm no longer angry because this person got a taste of what they were putting me through. Oddly enough said person sought sympathy and tried to say most of what was said wasn't true. Ironically, it was the act of trying to bash me was one of the things that became the catalyst for it all. When you talk about others, others will talk about you.

Alot of times even proving them wrong will still not change anything. Most people will believe what they want to believe regardless of how generous, real and authentic you are to others. My best bet has always been to separate myself from that environment and not associate with those people at all. There are alot of people with no tact or ability to think for themselves and will follow the crowd. They are sheep and wolves dont lose sleep over the opinions of sheep!

I had this happen to me a few times in high school. I been out of high school almost 40 years now. I been away from my hometown now for 20 years. Just a few friends, I haven’t had any contact with classmates since I graduated. I don’t know why but to this day some of those same people for some strange reason are gossiping about me . I have not seen or heard from these people since high school. You would would think, times passed, we all move on in our lives such as finishing college, working,starting a family or moving away to settle yourself or wherever. We all differ and that’s OK but sadly some people never grow up and some of these people will just assume the worst in you and haven’t seen you in years.

I know i am guilty of it, but I try not to talk bad on people in a way that spreads rumors. If I need to vent I go to someone I know isnt going to gossip It's so hard for me to forgive because I am a loyal person. I try my hardest to treat people good but its hard when they hurt you. I had a really close friend of mine, and we were venting to eachother and I told her one thing that pisses me off is when someone undermines my intelligence. Anyway I work with her 8 hrs a day 5 days a week, and she eventually started being really mean to me. And she called me stupid and smirked... Saying "just kidding" as if thats a pass on intentionally insulting me. The next day she interrupted me and was super rude. Anyway now we work in different areas and i havent talked to her since. I know we are supposed to forgive one another, as God forgives our sins... But its so hard, because I would never intentionally hurt her like that. I pray God gives us the strength to forgive those who have wronged us, because we should be examples of his children representing heaven on earth Love you man, praying for you and me and everyone else here... Cause we are all hurting and could use some good spiritual wisdom, healing, courage, strength, ambition, and tenacity to fight our demons! Mine are lust, addiction, distraction/sloth (video games), feeling alone and worthless (which isnt true idk why i believe the lies these demons keep telling me) Thats what it is folks. The grand secret. We have good ("angels") and bad ("demons") interdimensional dieties indirectly affecting our reality. Every person in a position of power, on tv, a wealthy person etc i believe is being controlled by evil spirits. Call it the illuminati, cabal, vatican, brotherhood of darkness whatever... They exist. All roads lead to Rome. Do your research. Pray the holy spirit of our righteous creator fills you with wisdom and eyes to see and ears to hear! Neither light nor dark can directly affect the outcome of things until the final battle. A humbling fact is that we are as pawns. A pawn doesnt know who crafted it. A pawn is unaware that it is being moved by a human. It cannot possibly imagine what a human is, nor what a human is capable of. It cant even see or hear the human. All it knows is the chess board. The grind. The 9-5. Scary fact is, most pawns dont know which side they fight for. If you allow evil to happen, and do nothing, you are responsible for the suffering of others. That is why we fight. For our loved ones, for our animals, for our enemies. We must love everyone and be an example of how humans should treat eachother. This life is a gift given to us by a creator we don't understand, or cant remember. Treat this life as a chance to show your creator love in every way! In the vital nutritious food you eat, in the way you selflessly help others, the way you smile and treat even the least insect with grace and respect! Be a flower! Blossom into the beautiful happy being you were before we let society dictate us :) Thanks for reading my rant. Yah bless you all ❤

Gossips, busybodies, and backstabbers are all losers. They have nothing else going in their lives, except to gossip and tell lies, and stir up trouble. Jealousy drives a lot of gossipers: they always have some juicy tidbit of info they're trying to scatter around, and it's mostly (if not always) lies and tall tales. Don't associate with gossips and busybodies: they're nobody's friend.

Those type of people are also called narcissists. Spreading lies around and gossip is their biggest 'red flag'. Your advice is spot on, because we indeed need to focus on our own character. The truth will alays come to the surface one day anyways. It's not between us and them, it's all about who they choose to be and who we choose to be ourselves, and everyone will see who is truthful and who is the liar. They'll only be working against themselves... and then they'll try to find the next victim...
