I had to do it a few times but it did reset. You do have to hit the volume down and power key. When the LG logo comes on let go of power and KEEP HOLDING THE DOWN VOLUME. GL!!!

It helped, But you didn't explain the steps clear enough .. like how when you push in the power key and volume down button at the same time, when the logo comes up, you *KEEP THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON HELD IN LET GO OF THE POWER BUTTON FOR 2 SECONDS THEN PUSH THE POWER BUTTON BACK IN*

Year later and it worked. Just make sure you do not let go of the volume down button and let go of power button for 2 seconds.

Thanks. I have a question: I ported all my things (Apps, Accounts, etc) from my LG K10 X Power to my new Smartphone the Galaxy S10 and now I will give my old one to a friend. If I reset my old Smartphone, does it reset all I ported to my new Phone? Im not sure. Sorry but I never changed my Smartphone and im german so if there are misstakes its cause of the lenguage.
