I think I just don't see it so much anymore... I think now I have to make sure if I pause the video in a class I start it again. LOL, I just don't think about or notice it blinking anymore. 😂

Dear Lyssa, thank you for sharing your experiences and deep thoughts ! Indeed, since I have started focusing much more on feelings ( those of the client and my feelings as well ! ) and the physical reactions of my body, I could go deeper into the conversation. For me Gestalt coaching is an integrative practice during my coaching sessions. I would have one question: how do you lead conversations with clients that speak A LOT !!! Really A LOT !!! ( According to ICF competencies, without interrupting them. ) Thank you very much for your reply. My kindest regards from Hungary.

@@LyssadeHart Dear Lyssa - I am a new coach who finds your videos and teachings so valuable, and have your reflective coach workbook. I share your links with fellow new coaches once they hear me speak to the help I’ve received from your using your workbook and watching your demos, videos, etc. I too would love a video on how to work with wordy clients as Timea requested. In coaching with other coaches - many of us have noted the difficulty we have in knowing how and when to interrupt vs sitting in that listening zone. Especially I am curious about people who have minds that need to process aloud - they actually need to talk it out in order to get at deeper aspects of the situation they brought as topic or of themselves. I wonder if designing it into the coaching relationship at the very beginning in some way would be useful - pausing the client to ask a question. Thank you!
@@noelnadel I think how we set up our agreements for coaching is very important; as you mentioned, some people are external processors. I have a few thoughts on this topic :) Thank you for upvoting the topic.
Working with young clients can be hard. In my experience doing something with them is more useful than 'talking' about things. This isn't 100% true, I have had young clients who loved to talk. But a lot of them enjoyed walking outside as we talked, something I have recently started using with Executives is LEGO Serious Play. I think a process like that would probably be fantastic with young clients, because as the think about their challenge, they build something, then they explain it to you.
