I’m sure you know this (bowing down to you!!😍)….but adhering the Teflon Sheet to the top plate with magnets, is a real time saver. Especially if you’re fusing a bunch…saving those couple of seconds (removing/replacing the Teflon Sheet)….REALLY helps. (PS… I love your PURPLE PRESS!!)
I have been waiting soooo long for these to come in. I would LOVE to have them ALL…🤭 but will contain myself. Thank you for carrying these beautiful colors.
Thank you. Great video. I have been setting my heat press to 325 and pressing for longer and always worry I will distort my vinyl because I did that once! I’m going to try the higher temperature for shorter time. I also use the Teflon sheets. I use small bar magnets to keep the top one affixed to the top of the press.
I do the same. I use magnets to keep the teflon on the bottom as well as the top (learned from Lauren Mormino). I started doing it that way after I got tired of the teflon sheets slipping around. I also do a lot of batch bag making so I often times have a LOT of pieces to fuse so the magnets keeping the teflon sheets in place saves me a lot of time. So far I haven't had a problem fusing to vinyl. My heat press is about 320 degrees and I fuse for no more than 10 seconds when fusing vinyl. 10-15 seconds for other interfacings.
You're the one that gave me the courage to fuse Decovil to vinyl when I started making bags. Do you like the new heat press?. Mine is similar to your old one - and the shape sometimes makes me crazy - your new one looks much more functional - and it has an accurate thermostat. Thank you for showing us your heat press and how to stabilize vinyl.
To be completely honest, I like my old one better…. But I think it’s because that is what I was used to. The new one does have nice features and I do love the shape much better as well ❤️
I'm still getting use to it. I love the size, but to be honest I was so use to my old singer I kinda miss that one. I do like that it has a temp setting and timer... but the heat seems a little uneven, but it is also one of the lesser expensive models so maybe you get what you pay for...
