I did once throw Up. But it was a year Ago. Now this day i had to take antibiotics. I didnt want to. Beacause od previus experience. I dont want to swallow it. And my parents. They tried to force my mouth open. I was streaming But they failed. In the end I swallowed it and it was not that Bad beacause it didnt touch my taste buds
I was supposed to take 28 antibiotics for my infected ingrown toenail, but I could only swallow 3 as they were disguisted, made me feel sick and were really squishy and hard to swallow
this is handy to know, as a kid my parents were against drinking something right after taking liq medicines because they thought it would disrupt the medication so you'd just have to sit there and deal but im glad to know we can give kids something right after to help with the taste
My 2 year old son has 0 problem taking liquid tylenol or motrin but his antibiotics hes will fight not to take it it's so sad having to hold him down and close his mouth trying to swallow it
I love how he ignores the fact that just getting the dang medicine in my kids mouth is a battle. Looking for a gag line and telling my kid to be still and stop freaking out just doesn’t work realistically

A method I would like to call “The Trickster” is when you take a liquid treat (Ex. Tummy Yummy, mango tango, etc.)that looks at least close to or exactly like the medicine before and after you or your child take the real medicine . Also, smell the good liquid while you or your child is taking the real thing to trick your mind or your child’s mind thinking that the real medicine is the sweet liquid.
What kinda helped me is sucking on ice for like 1-2 minutes to numb my taste buds. I still get the after taste in the back of my throat but it helps a little.
My 3 year old spits meds out all the time. Can you put liquid antibiotics in apple juice? I would say no. But the other grand parents say that is the only way she will take it. Someone please help.
I held my childs nose and she could breathe through her mouth as soon as I got the dropper in it cut her cause she bit it and it became sharp and then she projectile vomited. I absolutely cannot handle giving her the iron supplement it breaks my heart and she really needs it she is so pale!! I tried so many times same outcome except I don’t hold her nose. Wait I drank it and found a way to drink it,put the medicine in your mouth then dring something I would recommend oj then swallow the oj and medicine at the same time
I have this red medicine and when it’s in your mouth your like “Oh this tastes actually not bad...” then you swallow it and it tastes like rubbing alcohol decided to punch you in the face.
last night I got sick and tomorrow I recovered but my mom said that I still need to take the medicine it smells bad then I take two spoon I have mentos so when I take medicine I will eat the mentos wish me luck.
Crushed ice in the mouth can help to not taste the medicine, or try eating ice cream before taking the liquid medicine, but check if you can have milk with the medicine.
Tbh I know it sounds bad but when kids are young trust me it’s a nightmare and if they really really need to take it you’d do about anything to get them feeling better I guarantee it hurt your dad just as much doing it. I know giving my son his medication atm is a nightmare. When you’ve kids and to give them medication you’ll understand like don’t get me wrong it does sound bad but back then that was normal when giving medication
I'm watching this in 2018 lmao since I have such a gross antibiotic and I have to take a larger dose and for so long and I also gag so hard and almost vomit every time. like I cant do it it's so gross. even the thought of it makes me want to vomit
I'm struggling to give my 2 year old steroids (prescribed for his Croup cough), I try to tell him it's fine but I'd be lying if I didn't say it tastes absolutely disgusting and smells disgusting too. It's so damn strong.
ReizusYT trust me prednisone is not that bad. I had to take it for 28 days straight 3 times a day, it’s not that bad and it makes you really hungry all the time
I had to take liquid Tamiflu and none of this works I tried but I swallow my Tamiflu but after I threw up and I'm lucky my windows have those net things ugh
