Hey, thanks a bunch for your feedback! It really means a lot to me. I'm glad my tutorials are helping you out and providing you with insight and inspiration. Keep watching!
Thank you, I appreciate your steps for finishing hem and lining. Very useful information. But, I liked the original better than the after. It seems disproportionate at shoulders (wide) and hips (too narrow) in relation to the length of the jacket. It's all a matter of personal preference. Thanks for the video.
Sure but the inside of this jacket was not finished on the edges so you would want to go in there and finish all the edges so you so not have frayed edges and you would probably want to bias bind some of them. It is more work then sewing it back how you found it. I feel like floating linings work best in skirts, dresses and long jackets.
Super helpful explanation! I have a difficult time finding off the rack sports coats that fit my body proportions. I recently purchased a sports coat I love and that fits in the arms and shoulders but it is too long for my torso. This tutorial will be perfect for guiding me in shortening it. I'll practice on a thrift-store sports coat. While pocket proportions are a consideration, it doesn't matter that in your presentation the pockets are not properly proportioned after hemming (ignore the haters) because I needed a good tutorial on hemming a blazer. Thanks!
I love how you explain things. Do you have any advice for how to shorten the sleeve lengths on blazers? I imagine it's similar to this -- but if buttons are involved, is it just not going to work?
@@SewAnastasiais there a “plan B”? its arm-pit up or take off the shoulders. I think its juuust big enough to do a little bit of an adjustment. LeChateau blazer i cant wear…..sigh.
@@SewAnastasiaHi hi Anastasia. I have a soft spot for that name "Anastasia' as in my first year in Primary School, I had a class mate named Anastasia! Ok. So now, I have to go figure out how to make the curved corners, bcuz you didn't show it. Which is very scary 😢😢 when you're repairing a jacket for a customer. And I clicked on your video bcuz I saw the curved corners on yours. O Father in Heaven, I so want to do this right!!! Gracious God Almighty, help me please. 😮😮😢😢❤❤❤ In the Mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen and Amen.
