did this just the other day with undergeared people, was fkn epic. Strat differences was in phase two burn heroism ignore adds and kite boss away from them as they move slow. transition into 3rd phase had two shamans pop there healing rains to aoe heal everyone back up, the boss at this stage had 9 stacks of its buff so i popped army of the dead and then just burned it down. Nice to see my strat is almost the same as this ^^
Whats the Strat if you have like....2 melee in your group? If one of those shadow shard things come out of your melee....its definitely going to hit the phoenix
If you kite the fire phoenix around it will leave alot more fire for the shadow pheonix to run in during the second phase. wouldnt it be better to just keep the phoenix add in place away from the group? Every healer i do this with chooses that strat and they have an easy time healing it
In phase 2 we found that the easiest way to deal with the shadowphoenix was to ignore the shadow adds and just move the phoenix around. The adds move really slow and the phoenix can be burned down pretty fast if all dps is focused on it and not on the shadow adds.
@perfectgyroscope that is the ideal way of doing this fight w/ good dps, or even average dps....aslong as everyone knows what to do...../sigh, can still remember a lock that continue to try and dps the high prophet during this phase x.x
oh yeah main reason i skipped adds in sprit part(phase 2) the aoe damage was hard for the healer to heal through plus the adds have something like 352k hp, meaning an extra 700k or so extra time of being in that phase.
