Haha me too. Hit my first 180 on a Winmau champions choice board with the slim trebles. Jumped up and down and celebrated like a mad man and then took another 2 months to hit another on a regular board. Feels so easy when you do it but replicating it is another challenge altogether !!

I sometimes miss the board lol. Haven't played for 16 years. So now I play somewhere three times a week for just 30 minutes with random darts. So that's not good. My aim in my right hand was gone suddenly about a month ago. So I start playing with my left hand. Then the feeling came back. Didn't miss the board for some days. But today suddenly, in some throws, with my right hand, I just miss the board. Always one dart that doesn't connect with the other two. It's a mind game. When you want it so much, you fail. At least, that happens to me all then time.

"How To Hit A 180 In Darts" Just train everyday. Your Muscles will memorize your throw and after sometime you earn a 180. I trained myself all alone watching Darts in TV and tryd stuff, you donnt need those kinds of "GetBetter" Videos. Learn through Experience. And whats most Important, never give up.

Yeah, I just started darts, and I've been throwing darts non stop for 2 months. My aim was bullseye and now bullseye is the easiest target on the board, next thing I need to practice on I grouping, usually my last dart throws weaker, on a regular occasion. But when I'm in the mood I group my darts well

I'd only hit 2 180s in 2 years until I started playing properly again this year now I've hit at least 25 in the last 2/3 months of about 1-3 hours a day (still not incredible) but what really helps is thinking of each dart as an individual 60 and staying relaxed. Also as you said muscle memory is key. Throw the same all 3 darts

Its impressive that you did hit the 180 from start to finish in this video with talking a lot between each throw. Did you did it in one take? If I have to hit three single 20's with talking and explaining, I probably would miss for a month, and the whole explanation lol. You did it without any pressure.. where you so confident? Are you that good? Anyway great video. I need to find some darts that I used to play with when I was younger.

Everyone will get the shakes the first time they hit two T20's. Maybe stop caring to throw a 180 will help some people, better two 140s in a row than a 180 and a 26. Less fun though :P

I've just upped my practice time to about 5 hours per week I've been throwing darts for years and only had a dozen or so 180s usually they come when I was a few pints in and relaxed, but now I'm practicing more I'll hit a 180 at least one per session sometimes two. Even hitting the occasional 171. I usually throw ten sets of darts (30) And divide my total score by ten to get my average... I don't often fall below 600 and on a good day I'm around 950 so my average is at least 60 to 95 per throw 😁 Also have ten throws at bullseye and my goal is to hit 3 bullseyes and 6 25's. One in three gos I can achieve this. The real goal though is to hit back to back 180s when I master that I'll contemplate the 9 darter!

Something else I did when I was practicing for 180s is if I got the first two darts in the treble 20 then missed with the 3rd I would re-throw the 3rd one to practice aiming around the other two darts that landed “naturally” and I’d keep going till I hit it

I've been looking for tips on having an arch in your throw. It seems like having an arch rather than a more straight trajectory in your throw is better for leaving more target space open.

Stay until the end. The most important tipp is there. If you are a beginner you probably cannot aim for a certain position in the triple 20 anyway

Playing for little over a month now. Throw anywhere between 150-500+ throws a day. Hit my first 180 the other day felt phenomenal. A day or two after got my first Robin Hood. Still searching for my second 180. Have gotten plenty of 140s. It’s like the white whale I swear lol. Love your videos.

Rushing 180’s will ruin darts for u, will take months to learn the hand eye coordination of it, then u will go to a pub and still get stomped because u can’t hit a double for the life of u.

Stooped counting after 2000 like 8-9 years ago started practicing again in the new year hit back to back then a 141 straight after once I used to practice 4 hours a day and play 5 times a week not even playing now due to work commitments

Absolutely useless to 99.9% of dart throwers. "Left side of the bed". Happy to hit the bed at all is most people. Keep throwing at T20 if your not blocked and once in a while 3 will go in one after the other.

Is it muscle memory or aiming? The wrist follow through helps with throwing straight.kyle anderson and jelle klaason dont look like they're aiming.unlike gary anderson and glen durrant who really look like they're aiming.

Best practice is fake 180s. Throw at trouble 20 and if you hit with one leave it in then throw with 2 darts repeat until you fill the bed. Will help with grouping nerves etc. Do the same on the 19s

Since then I've improved my accuracy quite a bit, can hit one or 2 trebles with some regularity now. Working on number 2! So right. The first one is the toughest. Thanks man!

I’m pretty sure the whole point of that video was to show how free space for the third dart and you didn’t throw the dart in the space provided. Also surprised no one else commented on that.

I haven't played darts in a while but I have hit 5 180's before in my life. 2 of those on the same night where I was just on fire and playing the best I have ever played. For whatever reason that day I was hitting mostly at least one treble a visit and my finishing was on. Never been able to recreate it lol.

Took 14 months to hit my 1st one 10 years ago, generally average 1 every 3 to 4 months in practice, once every couple of years in matches 🙄 P.S. 500th like for this video from me 😝

It's so low, the numbers... Lit it up. At least 1 a day. Competitively I scored 10 this year in 40 matches. I'm fine with that since it's best of 3 legs each. In practice when alone i always do 1 or 2. Im playin les than 2 years

Wow, it's kind a long time, but never give up. I had two starts in my "carrier" one lasted 6 months and the other, witch was 15 years later, is holding on for two years now. I still think I've hit more 180s the first time. And I'll tell you nowadays i hit one, two every day. So u never know with these things. I've watched 2 friends grow in darts from scratch and after some time when they got first it has become a everyday thing. So, keep up..
