This is awesome Venus!Such a treat to hear from you,and a real privilege to listen and put some of your advice into practice.Which I have done already and continue to do so.It’s fun to practice the serve.However after an hour of serving,sometimes longer,often longer in fact…I am quite stiff.It is hard work,especially when you are older.Thank you Venus.Btw,I watched your match against Stefi Graf at Wimbledon in 1999 the other day.I watched it live at the time,and always thought it was one of the best matches I have ever seen.Still is.!

I so enjoy watching your videos even though I do not play the sport. Love it to the moon and back, but I just don't play it. Before you, Venus and Serena came on the scene and putting down everyone in your paths, it was just so amazing to watch. I love 💕💘😘 you guys so much! I have always watched tennis on the tube, but I finally got a chance to see a more complete diversity of various cultures, and it was so great that you guys came on board and I saw me in each of you beautiful young ladies!!! You centered yourself and did your jobs! And that was something I believe no one understood in that arena. You guys came to work, not play nice. It was a competition. Although you said in your interviews that you were nervous, you have another great talent because you fooled me! You never let us see you sweat. So much talent and so much power that two teens brought to this game, and you changed the world of tennis into strength, power and endurance and no one saw it coming. You took this game of tennis by storm and flipped it on its back! So many people loved you around the world, but in the tennis arena of competitors, now that was a tail of a different story. We heard each of them speak on your lack of let's say friendliness when they did not realize you were going to work and the competition was to great to lose your concentration to niceties and pleasantries. You had to focus to be better than anyone else and you had great teachers, your parents who strengthened your core. You guys are so impressive and so focused and although I am a few years older, I was so focused on you and your game, your laser like ability to see the plan/the vision and make it a reality. I saw that from afar and I was so impressed and so in awe of you. You, Venus and Serena are TREND SETTERS!!! And here we go again. You are making waves in another arena out of all of the other accomplishments you are now adding being a teacher, an instructor of tennis in the mix and who better yet to illustrate, to teach other than the best of the best. Great job Venus and keep shocking the world!!! And please tell that Serena...Wow! I never could have imagined but you made me believe. You guys, or should I say gals are just so amazing!!! Thanks for brining up strategy during the serve. Previously, I would ONLY think about just getting the ball in while serving. Now I know to be thinking about particular areas to hit to (their backhand 80% of the time in general). Please keep bringing up Strategy in your videos...not just the HOW to do something but WHY, WHEN, & WHERE.

Double faulting almost made me give up on tennis. I still do but not as much as I did initially. Having easy access to tutorials like this is great but I’d suggest to anyone just starting to stick to one or two as there’s lots of videos with many techniques and that can be confusing to anyone just starting. This is SO opportune! I have been trying to figure out the strategy on 2nd serve for the past two weeks: fast (to intimidate, but misses more than I like), spin it in (which I disfavor), or try to kick it (still perfecting). Placement! Put the ball into the weaker wing. So I have to pay attention to the weaker wing on return, which means I should test both wings on first serve. Placement and if all else fails, the body. Got it! Thank you ❤️

Venus, for a righty serves a slice, the ball will always go from right to left, doesn’t matter it’s deuce court or ad court. And it’s opposite for lefty. That’s why lefty’s slice is so effective because it goes to a righty’s backhand. 😊🙏💪

You can also under slice it. I used to do that and never gotten flack for it. I feel that serving underhand shouldn’t be viewed as disrespect or classless. It’s a good strategy especially with a lot of players that play from far of that baseline now
