When I first started golf, I adopted the theory of digging it out of the dirt. Over the years I would estimate that I must have hit close to 2,500,000 golf balls in practice. If I wanted to learn a shot, I would go out and hit balls until I could do it. This whilst not a great way to practice, It set me on my path to coaching, you see, hitting all those balls and learning by trial and error, allowed me to learn, what works and what doesn't. There isn't a swing style out there that I haven't looked at and thought, is that better than what I'm doing? I'd then go and hit balls and try to replicate it. While there is a lot to be said about working hard, as a PGA Accredited coach now, I better understand that hard and smart work gets results quicker. I read all the books, watched all the videos and within 3 years of first picking up a golf club, I had a scratch handicap and was representing my County in matches.
Here on my RU-vid channel, you will find that I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is helping me in person and online clients right now. It doesn't matter where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was, or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are, my goal is to create a place where you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. Nothing that I promote here is a quick fix, if you're chasing a quick fix, then I'm likely not the pro for you. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course, but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble.
