Another suggestion for a tutorial is chipping onto the green from inside 30 yards. You should demonstrate different types of approach including flop shots, chip and runs, etc.. Also maybe talk about different golf balls and what differing grades of golfer should use. You can also touch on set up, back swing and downswing for driving the ball off the tee. Both of you (in fact everyone on the channel) drive the ball off the tee very, very well.

Last weeks tips helped tremendously... I will try this out this weekend ... heading to Paiute Reservation for 3 days...

Ok. I love the channel. Paris and Claire are great players with high golf IQ’s. With that in mind, here is a little constructive feedback to consider. 1. Stop saying “we are taking over the channel”. I have heard this many times, it’s old news at this point. 2. Have both girls wear the GH custom hats. No visors! 3. Claire is great, but tell her to keep her hands at her side when speaking and/describing a skill. Hope this helps and kept up the good work!

I will try some of those tips..I struggle with fairway bunkers.

You can do the "step on the club" outside the bunker if you want even during a tournament round. You just can't do it in the bunker.

Never thought of stepping on the club to get the true angle. Good tip even if you can only use it in practice.

Good tips! Love the outtakes!-) When in the sand do you load more weight, 60 or 70 % on front foot or normal weight distribution? Is it different if down in the bunker or hitting on the upside? Love what your doing!!

Enjoyed this video! Could you maybe do a video on whether or not to change your pitching wedge to a specialty wedge? For example, I have a iron set with a gap wedge and pitching wedge. I'm trying to decide whether to change to a cleveland cbx pitching wedge instead of my iron set wedge. I already use a cleveland cbx 52 degree gap wedge and love it.

This is just me being picky, but every once in awhile, I would love to see you guy's swings in slow motion when doing these instruction videos. But still it was awesome as always.

Great video but I hate to be picky but I only do this so that your videos will improve over time. During the introductory phase, I don't know who was on the camera but the frame cut off your feet and the swing of the club through the point of impact, whereas there as about 15 feet of air over your heads looking up at the sky and the hacienda in the background. For anyone learning golf it is critical for them to see the complete body setup, the positioning of the feet relative to the ball, whether the stance is open/neutral/closed, the posture of the body throughout the swing, the club head set up (for example, you didn't tell players that they are not permitted to ground the clubhead at the time of set-up - they may only strike the ground of the sand trap during the swing, topics related to posture of the body through the backswing and the downswing, the alignment of the feet, hips, torso and head, the position of the arms and hands at set up and finally swing plane mechanics and hand position through the point of contact. I would also recommend you use line graphics and swing graphics to help illustrate the set-up and take away but also to capture the full swing plane motion through the entire swing from set-up to finish (is the clubhead high above your head or wrapped over the top of your shoulders or have you swung low and around your body). In previous Golfholics videos that used the golf swing graphics light trail of the clubhead I used to watch Paris hit her driver and what I learned from her was that her clubhead dropped below the top clubhead position of the backswing and came back on a swing plane that was about three to four inches on the downswing relative to the arc of the backswing. What this did was ensure the clubhead was always coming from the inside as it was lining up to hit the ball squarely. That's why Paris consistently hit long, straight drives...not slices as I was doing where I was casting the clubhead up and away from the peak of the backswing which meant that the clubhead was striking through the ball from right to left causing a severe slice. One other thing I would have done on this tip video was to take a slow motion capture of the clubhead set up relative to the ball at the preparatory stance and another slow motion video capture at the moment of the clubhead striking the ball to illustrate the nature of clubhead-ball contact at the moment the ball is struck and then slow motion capture of the follow through right to the end of the swing. Hope this positive feedback helps. The tips you provided were very useful.

Okay, our two instructors seem in sync on most aspects of this set of lessons, which is fine...however, a little disagreement, even tension, if you will, makes for better theater and will heighten interest and therefore, hopefully concentration and internalization of the methods discussed. Perhaps Claire and Paris could find some small area of disagreement that isn't crucial to the lesson...a genuine point of contention, if that is possible, but nothing major. In the course of the discussion points of agreement could be brought in, of course, thus accomplishing the teaching mission. For instance...well, here I get stuck. I don't have a good for instance but then why would I, I know almost nothing of these matters. But I'm sure between the two, or three, or five (however many folks collaborate on the making of these videos) you could come up with something believable and entertaining without sacrificing utility. Drama is the spice that makes the lesson more easily digested...or so I have been told. Also, I have noticed it's almost (and maybe entirely, it's not clear) exclusively men commenting. This might deserve some attention. What can be done to involve other genders to participate. Again, not my field of expertise, so I have nothing but questions regarding this. Apologies.

A little more silliness would go a long way. Smoother dialogue or monologue could be gained by cue cards and a small modicum of rehearsal. With time, these tools may become unnecessary. As is, you girls are quite promising.
