Best hitting driver explanation I have ever heard. None of the 1000 swing thoughts that I can’t remember and don’t have enough flexibility to do. Love it Jimmy you’re the best
I really like the idea of using a wedge to take practice swings to cement the feel beforehand. I didn’t play driver the entire year last year (literally took it out the bag) - way too inconsistent with it. This year I want to try to bring it back and I think this will help. Thanks!
Bro. Really like your vids. But bro, the flight tracker needs to go, cause it's broken. Showed that you Carried the first drive 300. That carry was 220-240 MAX and with that cut, probably a respectable 260. C'mon my Man...
Jimmy…I know this is a driver lesson but at the beginning you say you have the ball inside your right heel for irons. In your other vids you always say play the ball back for irons. On your recommendation I bought the 69 wedge and play the ball about half way back from Center to the right heel. Would that be good for all irons or back further? You’re making golf fun and better…thanks!
Hey man. My right foot is my back foot. I play irons just inside my right foot. 69 wedge is played back there too. Only the driver is played on the front foot. Thanks for watching
Golf is a crazy game. I've been driving well for a while. Went to the range today to practice driving tge ball into the ground with irons. Last 20 balls or so, broke out the driver. Apparently I forgot how to hit my driver cause I was everywhere but good. 😂😂😂😂
I’m struggling with my driver right now and have watched many videos trying to correct it…in theory all I have seen should work..BUT…It all gets in my head and I swear Im getting more inconsistent as a result. Your lesson here is the most refreshing thing I’ve heard…it should keep my head clear and my body loose. I’ll let you know how it goes. THANK YOU for keeping things simple!
Lmao 🤣 he said 3 states over lol thats me man I'm trying to murder that ball and it doesn't even go far, very good tip its all about tempo smooth easy swing like your pitch
This video is worth so much more to us double-digit handicappers than anything those Golf Magazine "top 100" teachers could ever or would ever teach. Thank you JIMMY!
The part about hitting up is crucial. My tendency occasionally is to not let myself post and tilt at impact, to ensure club is moving up. I manage to come straight across, for some reason....and either top it....or hit a worm-burner. Ensuring you keep moving upwards gives a beautiful long straight drive.
I paid $1000 au dollars 2 years ago for the latest and greatest ping driver and fucked my head up watching all the you tube channels , thanks I’ll try this and hopefully put it back in the bag
Great video Jimmy. Question, when you say to wave to the camera and then you just brush the ground, do you mean to keep those hands forward at impact? Or do you allow your hands to turn over? Reason I ask is because keeping my hands forward works great for irons, but I struggle doing that with driver. I’m wondering if I should keep trying to do it. Appreciate your videos.
Thanks for this video. Driver is my worst club with a big slice unless I swing slow. Have trouble hitting off the heel so going to for sure try your tips! Appreciate the great videos.
Losing tension and learning trust is what I learned to be a deal breaker with driver. When that happens, hitting the sweet spot is the reward. Distance thoughts are not our friends, solid contact is king.
Great advice; my difficulty is developing a feel for the lateral push. I can’t seem to feel this movement. Would a subtle pause at the top help or would this be a detriment to the downswing? Thank you
@@williamahlers6851 dont feel a push if you cant. Feel like your weight goes to your front foot on your downswing. Its a falling sensation onto your front foot
@williamahlers6851 Adam Porzak and Mike Pitt work together and each have a channel. They teach the forward bump quite well, look them up, you won't regret it.
You're the man, Jimmy! 👍 👍 My problem is I'm always trying to hit a draw when my natural ball flight is automatic fade 😁😊. I will definitely try your tip the next time I'm on the range. Thanks!!
great stuff Jimmy. These tips are gold. thanks. question: where do you play the rest of your clubs in your stance? driver - front foot irons(wedge-7i ?)- back foot? woods/irons 6i-2i - centered?
