Leigh Stevens walked into the band room while I was practicing for my senior recital at Auburn University in 1982. Needless to say, when I turned around and saw who it was, I immediately stopped playing. He said, "Don't stop. Keep practicing". He was in the area appearing in a clinic and our percussion instructor was showing him around the facilities. A moment I will never forget. Memories.
