This is a great video, I learned alot and have deployed some of my .net core apps. However, when I tried deploy one of my .net core Web api with swagger it does not work. The deployment process seems to work though, it builds successfully on Heroku. But when I try visiting the deployed site I get "Application Error". I would love to see you make a video on this topic, on how to deploy a .net core web api with swagger configuration. The process on this seems to be a bit diffrent.
Hi, thank you for your video, I successfully deployed my app to heroku but I am having trouble running migrations of my database. I am using mssql, is any way I can run them?
This is way more convenient than Github pages (need to build and publish yourself, do some workarounds, then push that published build to a new branch or repo). And GH-Pages doesn't support fullstack apps, just statics. I'm definitely using this in the future!
@@CoderFoundry I have connected my github, build and deploy my app and everything worked well, but when I try to enter my site, I have an error. I have checked logs and get "app crashed" error code=H10. I have no clue what is happening, I google a lot and there is a lot of problems with net core builds. Do you know how to solve? Maybe I can fix the startup.cs file adding some configs. Thank you anyway
Thank you for sharing. From watching your videos I decided to move away from Laravel and make the switch to .NET. On one of my pages I get an error "An error occurred while processing your request...The Development environment shouldn't be enabled for deployed applications.." Where do I set the environment variable to be production?
How can I do this with a database? I have an Instagram clone, it is a personal project, that I would like to host, but it has a full DB , will this deploy method work as well??
@@CoderFoundry oh, perhaps that's why my project keeps giving an error, looking forward to it, just to know, is it available in the free tier? I'm gonna look it up any way
This is a great video! With my .NET 6 application, I get errors trying to run it on the .NET 8 version on Heroku 22 with the new buildpack, but can't find a previous release that seems to work with Heroku stack 22. Have you figured out a way to fix this?
Nice stuff! Do you have any tips on getting your first coding job outside of the US, Australia or Europe for example? Are the expectations/processes different or do you just roll the same way?
hey CF, Where do you find these web graphics (e.g. the one on the landing page shown in the video with the rocket)? I really like this kind of aesthetics
The moment The Entire World has been waiting for! I could only do this with container and always wondered "how does Bobby do this directly? Maybe he is just daydreaming?".
I already have an existing repository with my code in it. Do I still need to create another repository in visual studio with the heroku name? I am using vs 2019
@Coder Foundry I got the issue, I was using vs2019 instead of 2022, and now it is working, Thanks a ton for this video. Never imagined the dot net ecosystem will be so much powerful. Now it is the end of Java.
Okay, so I wrote application (discord bot) in .NET Framework, not .NET. Latest version for .NET Framework is 4.7.2, and for .NET 6.0. What should I do now? Cause I can't change from .NET Framework to .NET directly in VS.
@@CoderFoundry Okay, and if I put my files in there, change to .NET 6.0., everything compiles, but my bot is still not running. Do I need to add something like a Procfile or so?
@@CoderFoundry This video should have really demonstrated that, because I can't get around the 'permission denied' error when running ef migrations to heroku postgres db.
@@volitionant9682 I do agree with you. The explanation of the setup of the database is missing. @Coder Foundry, could you please you give us some hints on this part, or do you sale a course on this topic ?
