After one tricking this weapon for 3 years straight you really have to play a mixture of a backline/midline backline for pressure and midline for actually killing things because of your poor accuracy so you really should be doing a mixture of both also chargers are a super hard counter to spot lakes and it's especially to Hydra so map knowledge is super important and learning how to deal with them
I just recently started being a hydra main, and one of the reasons I love it is that you don’t really have to do much. You don’t have to ride the tower, you don’t have to grab the rainmaker; you can just sit back, murder, and watch as you help your team breeze to victory.
I keep coming back to this video because of my obsessive love of splatlings, and admittedly because I can't get enough of this guy's sassy villain voice. XD
I used to be a roller supremacist, but I recently discovered my undying love for splatlings, more specifically this beautiful beast. I still love rollers, tho. There’s nothing quite like sneaking near an unsuspecting enemy and going BAP on their heads. But there is also a thrill in using cover so no one sees you plotting, and then unleashing hell upon the battlefield and seeing the fear in the enemy’s eyes when they spot you. I do not die often, but when I do, I always feel like I have some weird bond with whoever decided to deal with me. Kinda like "Well gosh dang it, pardner. ‘Twas a good fight. 😌🤝"
Same! I used to use chargers and the .92 gal deco, but after Side Order with the splatling pallet (not gonna spoil more of it) I tried splatlings and settled on Hydra.
another things about using a hydra and a splatling in general (although don't count on this for all the mini users) is that you don't have to fully charge every shot! after the first ring, while slow on hydra but quick on heavy and naut, it still gives you counter options if you have a moment to breathe from being chased! and like shown in the video, if you end up shooting for longer than you need to, just submerge back into your ink. i'm very late but i hope this helps!
Thanks but not very useful. Which gear abilities are great, which are situational? Camp spots? Dealing with dualies\brushes\chargers? Strats in diff gamemodes?
