Thank you for making a genuine attempt to TEACH too many people are attempting to show how clever they themselves are, look forward very much to more of your work , much appreciated
Thank you soo much for your kind comment. I really appreciate it :) The aim of this channel is to help anyone make a video, and I am glad it's doing just that!
Could you also tell that at what interval should the Timelapse be taken, like which one is best 0.5 sec, 1 sec, 2 secs, 5 secs for a short video like this one ??
looks like hyperlapse only available on app only and my phone is not compatible with the app apparently...is there a way that i can get the hyperlapse effect without using app?
For now your options are to use a video editor on desktop like Premiere Pro or PowerDirector. Only the ONE X app can add speed at the moment. But I think the speed feature will come to the desktop app in the future.
Thanks! You should be able to with this workflow: howtomakeavideo.co.uk/how-to-timeshift-with-the-insta360-one-x-premiere-pro-workflow/ But you need the One X for 6 axis stabilisation.
So you are still editing in the app. Do the new PP plugins not allow you to do this right in PP? All my one x footage keeps crashing my PP. I’m using the 2018 version of PP
I haven't found a way to make timeshifts and hyperlapses in PP as smooth as the Insta360 One X app... I will certainly make a tutorial when I finally get round to it. I do use PP to colour grade my timeshifts and hyperlapses. I use the PP plugins to make tiny planet videos which the Insta360 One X app cannot do. Check out this tutorial to see how I use the pp plugins: howtomakeavideo.co.uk/how-to-install-and-use-the-gopro-vr-reframe-plugin/
Can the hyperlaspe video be edited in Studio 2019 (the speeding of the footage) ? And can the video be edited (Color tone, saturation etc) in iMovie rather than using the expensive Premier Pro ?
good job! thanks, do you know how we can improve the quality of insta 360 audio, because sound terrible and usually I used external mic, thanks for everything
Thank you! As of now there are no inbuilt settings in the app to control audio :( But I think this may come with a future update. I think you have the best solution already... use an external microphone! :D
@@Best360 Thanks so much for the reply. I will be in Hong Kong tomorrow and have an Insta 360 One X waiting for me which I ordered (so cant wait ). I have watched all of your videos, and learn't so much. Are you recommending then shooting manual, and changing the WB to that which best suits. Thanks again for your amazing content. Also what are your current views on log mode?
@@hotel3sixty64 Your welcome! Congrats on your purchase and I am sure you are gonna love it! White balance - Yes shoot manual white balance depending on what looks best. When it's Sunny, don't think you must hit the Sunny White Balance mode... It's too orange. I usually go for Fluorescent. So just check all the options! Log mode - I did a comparison between Log mode ON and OFF in an earlier colour grading video. To save yourself time, and get more vibrant colours, film with log mode OFF!
Thank you! I really appreciate your kind words :) In a nutshell I think the Insta360 One X is cheaper, requires 1 sd card, has a standard 1/4" screw, high quality video and audio, better app and software, smaller, and better stabilisation. But... I prefer the colours on the GoPro, and the battery life of the One X is sub par. I am always charging the camera in between shots with a power bank. Overall, I do believe the One X is the GoPro killer! I enjoy filming with it!
Great! Thank you for the quick response. There is a YT that doesn’t show a lot of good things about One X vs. Fusion. Everything you’ve said is consistent with other YT videos. Pls check out this YT and let me know if he is correct or just got a pre-release of the One X: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ev2K0k8DKek.html Would love to see more of your vids on the One X. Seems you’re very familiar with the software editing
@@nomad0714 No problem! Let me know what you want to use a 360 camera for and I can give you a better opinion on which workflow is best for you and why :) The YT is right about sub par audio quality. There is no right or wrong review because it really depends on what you want to use a 360 camera for. The best way to get an unbiased opinion is to try it for yourself. I made this blog post where you can download Insta360 One X 5.7k footage and RAW photos: howtomakeavideo.co.uk/download-free-insta360-one-x-sample-footage-and-raw-photos/ Now you can experiment with the footage using the Insta360 software and the app. Have a play with it, see if it's easy to use, and let me know if you have anymore questions!
@How To Make A Video, will do that and follow your link. I guess I am a beginner to 360 and video in general. Liked both One X and Fusion and the pricing seems the same now (about $430-$450 for either) but for me it will probably ease of use (fast and easy workflow as I will need time to ramp up), versatility, quality (video), and durability. I am an enthusiast and working my way up. Appreciate the help!
@@nomad0714 For beginners I would recommend the Insta360 One X. Just because the Facebook community is very active and friendly. You will get continuous support and inspiration. My videos are aimed at beginners! And I will continue to make beginner friendly tutorials for the Insta360 One X :) Feel free to drop me video related questions whether it's about 360 or traditional 2D. I may turn them into videos!
Do you get the maximum bit rate (mbps) when you export the video from your phone or you’ll need to export the content from the sd card to your computer?
If you stitch One X footage using Insta360 Studio For One X desktop software then you will get the option to set a maximum bitrate. On the app you will export the video at whatever Insta360 have set. There is no option to change maximum bitrate on your phone yet 😞
Thanks for the videos. Curious, I've learned how to use the App much better today but was having the hardest time trying to figure out how to combine/merge the 3 brackets that my 360 One X would create but put into Studio-export-then try to stitch them seamlessly, was harder than I thought and esp. if I wanted to make changes in Lightroom. Do you know of a way to do this outside of using the app. successfully? Ptgui perhaps and then LR or maybe better in Photoshop to color correct? I do real estate and want to be able to do this on my MacBook but may find it easiest to do in the App first then export to color correct and enhance the quality of the image/less grain(interior images show more grain). Your thoughts on this? Seems like my Studio to LR would mess with the seem and make it appear more obvious.
The ONE X software is very inconsistent. So some things you can do on the app you cannot do on their desktop software which makes the workflow extremely annoying. As you found out, you can merge HDR photos on your phone but you cannot do that on their desktop software! There is a way to merge these photos in lightroom and photoshop, but to save yourself the hassle it's probably best to get them stitched in app and then colour grade it. If and when Insta360 make their mobile and desktop software like for like... Things will be much easier!
is it possible for you try this on an android device with qualcomm 636? im planning to buy this but the recommended chip is qualcomm 653 and above.. still having hope it can run on 636 thanks
There is nothing to activate... just walk slow and steady! FlowState (stabilisation) is done in post automatically in the Insta360 Studio For One X software when you stitch.
I went on a motor cycle ride and due to the small "screen" switched to timelapse 3sec , finishing up with lots of very good quality photos can I do a timelapse with them in Insta Studio
Haha at least you got some footage! :D Insta360 Studio unfortunately cannot make a timelapse with photos yet. You need Premiere Pro or QuickTime. Do you have any of these softwares? Are you Mac or PC?
I have recently moved to an IMac , I also have what is possibly the most advanced Timelapse software on the market, LRTimelapse.com, but not for 360 to which I am an 83 year old beginner
@@22934760 Cool! This software will still make your 360 degree timelapse believe it or not! Just treat it as exactly the same workflow as normal photos. Stitch your 360 timelapse photos into a folder. Import those photos into your software and turn it into a timelapse (It will look like a funny rectangle but that's fine). Export the video. And then use this github.com/google/spatial-media/releases to inject the "I am a 360 video" message into your video. And then your timelapse will turn into a 360 video :)
Really appreciate all of your efforts, sadly I just believed it was a lost cause , no one else could offer a solution , so I just formatted the card without saving them, I will certainly be giving it a try in the near future , and would certainly like your guidance at that time You have a lot to offer , please keep up the good work
