How to identify a purebred rottweiler? |

My Female Rottweiler is 24inches, 13 months old at 100 pounds so far.

I had a Rottie years ago and knew I would have another. When my 13 year old ranch dog passed away, I replaced him with a Rottie. I’ve always had male dogs and found it difficult to find one. A super chubby cuddle bug female came my way, and she is mama’s girl. She is 5 1/2 months old now and super goofy. She is 64 lbs and still very gangly. I love her so much. Can’t say my other 2 dogs feel the same way, but they’ll get used to her. She’s very mouthy and it really bugs them. But she’s my big ole goof ball. Such a sweetheart. 💝💞

Papers do mean it is a pure bred, provided the papers are real!! There are many “organizations” out there that will “register and provide papers” for anyone willing to pay a fee. And getting a puppy that is from a puppy mill with “papers” is totally different than getting one from a responsible, ethical breeder. I know. I’ve had both. Many of your characteristics are off. Not all Rott’s have a wrinkly face. Not all Rotties are calm, some can be exceptionally driven as this is, after all a working breed. Rottweilers born in Europe, Asia, Australia and registered with some international Rottweiler Clubs all have long tails, as these countries and clubs no longer allow docking. A Rottie with “curly” hair may actually be a long coat Rottweiler. It is a pure bred Rottie. The long coat is felt to go back to some of the breeds used to refine the Rottweiler. In the US and Canada breeders can do a blood test for the long coat gene, and then manage breedings to avoid it. If you really want to know about Rotties, find a regional Rottweiler Club. There are several around the country. Rottweiler clubs hold annual competitions where you can see everything from Conformation (show dogs) to obedience, agility, tracking, herding, carting and other events. And Rottie owners love to chat with you about their dogs!!!! Or you can look for a local ADRK club. These Rottweilers are trained in the art of IPO (a combination of obedience, tracking and protection) and do something called Seiger. Seiger is a different type of “show” where a judge gives a verbal critique of each dog, pointing out good and bad things.

Lol sorry. So sorry. You lost me at calm dog. Bahahahahahahaha. I'm not knocking your abilities of making a video. Awesome job other than the music is way way to high. But ive been around rotties my whole life and they are far from calm. And just because you do or dont have papers doesn't mean its pure bread or not. I have 2 laying with me now as I'm typing that do not have papers yet they are more pure bread than my big man max that passed away 1-19-2020 he had more papers than I have for myself. Papers my mean something to some people and I do agree if you are willing to spend 3500 hundred then yeh I would what a perfect dog. But ive learned with or without papers a rottie will love your family the same.
