How To Identify Fake Profiles On Facebook (Super Easy & Fast) 

I wish I had known about this before I just became a victim of a guy pretending to be in the military. I know now he is a romance scammer. A hard lesson learned

I've gotten plenty of friend requests from scammers, but have never thought checking them out in this way...brilliant. Thanks for sharing jonochs.

there are also the people who grab a name you know, steal their images, and send friend requests. Several times, I've had friend requests, apparently from people with whom I am already friends on Facebook. Conversations with these people are much like the example conversation in your video.

This is a great way to keep yourself ahead of the scam game.

Or you could just use Google image search, that's what I use all the time and I have reported hundreds of fake profiles to Facebook. Some profiles I have reported have been removed but most of the time Facebook do nothing.

I just quit going onto facebook. All my problems are solved! :-)

Thanks Jon. I wish I had discovered your message months ago. I will definitely take your advise and use the site. I got messages from people claiming to work for facebook and that I had won their lotto. I got the feeling there was something not right when they ask for money for postage to mail the documents I had to sign and I turned them down. I reported it to facebook and all they told me was to defriend them. I would have use tin eye on them when it happened a couple of weeks ago. I don't use youtube hardly at all and I just happen to find an ad for recognixing scammers through a pch contest I entered and your video came up. I am glad I watched it!

What about people you know who just want to snoop on you. People who are using images from another random persons Facebook page. Is there anyway to find the original owner of the image? I also use TinEye for things like this but I never get any results when someone used another persons Facebook image.

Hello thanks for your helpful videos. But sometimes some of the people on Facebook that don't show there pictures on Facebook is cuz there in a abusive relationship or domestic violence issue and they don't want all there information out there for fear. But your right about the scammers. The reki con artist are the worst thank you again

I also use tineye and google when I get friend request. I also search there profile for information, the comments on the pictures, the likes and so forth....Who there friends are. I also check for other accounts with there picture...

What I don't understand is, say, I enter my photo url. When I enter it into TinEye, Google Images, etc it doesn't find my photo o Facebook. People can easily save an image on Facebook and use that as their profile photo. Is there any way to search for this this?

She is military, medical, on the website. I accepted the request out of curiosity. Her pic (1 of 4) is not found on TinEye but I feel like 80% sure she is fake because her English is just a little off. Fresh, same day Facebook page. Any other tips?

Just been on Facebook (don't bother much) for the first time in ages and it's like a spam site, you can't click on anything without something popping up (about adding more to your profile), gotta do you know this person, clicked on them (it) and to the right (of their blank profile) of the page you could see the date 1970 (age) flash up very fast with some other numbers i think...when i first signed with Facebook they " bombarded me with e-mails, so i opted out of (stopped) updates and they said why, which i replied something to the words of this is nothing more than spam, f/ck knows what it would be like now (b/locks).

your concept wants more improvements.this is wrong way

I had a Fake Facebook but only for trolling. I don't send bullshit like offers, or spam people. Some even don't scam.
