The exploration company which I optioned a block of claims to in AZ uses a tile saw in the field for VG gold ID in ore. The cut face, like you demonstrated in the video, is easier to ID visible gold in samples. These tile sawsa are a bit cheaper than a demo saw and use less water too for desert areas. Thanks for all the work you put into videos, I've been rewatching the smelting and assaying ones in order to learn how to do them myself since 1 batch of fire assays costs as much as all the equipment and supplies I'd need to do my own. Your vids on this stuff are the best because you test out so many different things, always with an eye for maximizing efficiency. Nice work man!

Hi there my name is Bruce I am in Fresno California right next to gold country LOL. Been watching your videos for a little while but just subscribed this is probably one of my favorites. Showing the precious metals under the microscope with something nobody else does especially pointing out what all the minerals are. I find that very informative because when I'm out in these motherlode mountains I really would like to know what I'm looking at and cutting the Rocks open and looking into the glass is freaking awesome thank you

If people are like me and they prospect for gold they have rock samples all over their computer bench , lol , i'm surrounded in rock samples , i think it is similar to doing core samples , so probably a good idea for quick identifications of minerals , but sure there's a market out there for specimens , and i have even bought some myself . Great vid Jason ,very interesting , i just love rocks !!!! ha ha ha .

Jason... Ive just subscribed... your videos are great. I detect in areas around the Victorian goldfields in Australia. My prospecting is limited to about one field trip per week using a Minelab gpx 6000. I seek small specimens usually (alluvial) on the surface around old workings. I believe that understanding the geological aspect is a also a big help. Your videos do exactly that. Thank you for the heads-up and great insight.

I don't know why, but gold is more evident with sunlight or candlelight as opposed to light from a filament or led light. If everything is held with no movement, your phone can take clear pictures that can be expanded to expose the gold. I wish I could include a picture with this comment to demonstrate my point.

My name is Willy and I’m from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 USA 🇺🇸 and I live currently in Florida but I travel regularly to Brazil 🇧🇷 and this year around December and February My wife and I went exploring into the jungle and off the regular trail we found an area which was loaded with lots of quartz boulders all over the ground and the side of the hill obviously after a big rain storm we had the hill came down and revealed the quartz. Now with what I learned from this video and you my new friend, I’m going back to Brazil in July an take a saw and start cutting quartz boulders and see what I can find 🤙🏽 I just subscribed to your channel so I will let you know how we did. Here is an experiment. Grind AgNO3, as collector source, into flux. As that salt, it can be very evenly distributed, with little effort. Upon relatively low heating, 450C, it decomposes into Ag metal. That way, micro globules of Ag can coalesce and grab. Though, I know you mentioned in one video that you believe the collector can be put in as a bulk metal. Just curious if AgNO3 -> Ag metal collects efficiently, in this way.

We have always wrote it off as pyrite if you turn the rock and it no longer flashes the light . Gold is yellow and when brought into the shadow will still remain yellow. Pyrite will disappear in the shadow. You mean we have been chucking gold all this time ? I wondef how many times a pile of tailings can be gone thru and still remain a pile.
