This was so helpful! My mother loves these figures--she had a curio cabinet filled with them when my brother and I were younger, but one day, while we were playing, we rammed into it and broke almost all of them. She just restarted collecting them again, and I found a ton at an antique shop, so I have Christmas and her birthday all squared away, but I had to text her to get her to verify them for me 😅 Now I can do it on my own and surprise her!

I am just a poor amateur collector but really have a love for Hummels...to me they are almost like a sacramentals that show God's loveliness and beauty shinning through the innocence, goodness and wonder of children. I am praying for their creator, Sister Marie Innocentia (M I) Hummel, to be canonized knowing of her holy and generous life she has led as a religious sister and artist.

I have a figurine stamped Germany 185/14 and it was given as a gift in 1927. So it was made before then. I can't find her online. But she has movable arms. She's in good condition a little paint faded. I want to sell it but I don't know a price. I think it was made around 1925

How do I know if my Hummel plate is authentic?

I have two my mother in law got got when they closed it down for the war. The number on one boy is 43 the other girl is 175 . They have all the right markings. I live in TX .

What is the value now for these pieces? Mom invested in these pieces in the 1970s to 1990s, and she is afraid if one day I want to sell these pieces I won't get a profit. All of the pieces and plates comes with the original box, and again what is the market like for these Hummels? Thank you.

I found unusual Hummels marked Michel. T. ON fugurine and reg. Blue stamp on bottom and signed Joslnim or similar spelling signed and dated by maker 10-26-82?? What is this signature? Looks like French name?? Figurine has large eyes.?? Goebel stamp in blue also??

I have 2 store displays that have the name Goebel on them they are similar to a stereo speaker meaning a wood cabinet about 12 by 24 box shape that is open in the front but black plastic insert with an opening in the middle for one figurine and it lights up where the figurine sits. I have no clue what they would go for though.

Hi Dr. Lori - I have two framed hummels with the initials eio on the bottom right and a circled C and another logo (that I have not been able to figure out what it is. Looks like ST/F inside a circle) on the bottom left. The figures seem to be on top of a mold since they are raised up, unlike a traditional flat frame hummel. I looked up some information online and it says that the circled C means 1935-1955. Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I thing I have Sevres figurine. I have spent a number of hours researching it but cant find the marking. It is an A with five dashes springing from the top. I cant seem to find this marking anywhere.

Hello Dr. Lori. My mother had a small collection of Hummel figurines. I have been going through them to see what they might be worth and noticed that several have a very small divot in the trademark that looks as if it was done with a grinder. This divot is roughly 3mm long and 1mm wide. Any idea what this is? Does it affect the value of the figurines?

What if the underneath of a Hummel has four blocks with only Germany in one block, number 184 in another block, 39 in another block and a blue fishlike stamp symbol with the letter r in parentheses. This Hummel is reading the Munchener Presse.

Hi, I have some Goebel ceramic/porcelain salt and pepper shaker Figurines of little Irish leprechaun guys with the Goebel marking on the bottoms from the 1970s I believe, I can't seem to find any info on these.. Are they rare? P.s. I also have a very nice one labeled springtime with a little boy carrying a hammer and a bird house walking towards a half of a tree with little birds on it (keeping that one for my personal collection) any information on either of them would be much obliged.. Nothing is mentioned about those only marked "made in us zone germany."

Please stop telling people if they send it to you YOU will do an appraisal. I did this and got some dude that had zero clue what my item was, couldn't date and low balled the appraisal. I like YOU and your show but the online appraisals are not good or a good experience.
