I have been in the Netherlands for almost 3 years and now currently moving to the UK to start training. If you want to work in the Netherlands you need to be patient and have lots of time in your hand. I don’t think I have the time to waste despite their salary being high. It’s really individualized and it all depends on you.

@visalibrary
@visalibrary 9 месяцев назад
To my knowledge, there isn't a specific visa category in the Netherlands called "bi test" for doctors or medical professionals. However, various visa and residence permit options are available for doctors wishing to work in the Netherlands, typically under the Highly Skilled Migrant or Kennismigrant scheme. Please consult with the Dutch embassy or consulate in your home country or the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) in the Netherlands for the most current and specific information regarding visas and permits for doctors.

If I graduate from Serbia is it necessary to give the licencing test Or just the Dutch language tests only needed to be cleared Because I got some information which shows that graduating from Serbia gives opportunity for doctors to practice in EU countries ( Schengen countries) Is this true?
@visalibrary

Serbia is not part of the EU and EEA, you might not be able to. But, ask the Dutch officials about the information you have found. Where is the source of information? Is it reliable?

Hi , I noticed you stressed on having experience is there an opportunity to get internship ,coming from a none European country?
@visalibrary
@visalibrary Год назад
You should research internship options, verify visa requirements, write a solid application, apply to hospitals or clinics, and organize for lodging and travel if approved. Although competition is fierce, it is feasible to get useful experience in the Dutch healthcare system with perseverance and great application.

Hi, Thanks for the video! My wife studied medicine in Turkey, and she got 2 years of work experience as a doctor. She will have resident rights in Netherlands due to my job. Do these conditions really shorten the total time, or do they not have any effect? Also, is it hard to find a job as a doctor (who comes from non-EU country) after recognition of a diploma? Because nobody wants to finish all these long processes for nothing.
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 8 месяцев назад
Immigrating to the Netherlands as a doctor with a spouse who will have residence rights due to your job can streamline certain aspects of the process. However, it's important to note that recognition of your wife's medical qualifications and securing employment may still be time-consuming and competitive. The Dutch Ministry of Health will assess her qualifications, and proficiency in the Dutch language is often necessary, especially for patient-facing roles. While the exact duration and ease of the process can vary, it's crucial to be prepared for a potentially challenging job market and explore support options such as immigration experts to navigate the complexities of the journey.

A recognized medical degree from an EU nation may be sufficient for employment in the Netherlands. However, meeting B2 language requirements is required. For additional information, contact KNMG or the applicable regulatory agency.

Hi! Thanks for the video. I’m a med student about to graduate in Italy and I would like to do my residency in the Netherlands. Are all these procedures needed for EU doctors? Also I didn’t understand if these procedures are needed to apply for residency or to move as an attending doctor (so already specialized). Thank you!!!
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 10 месяцев назад
Whether you're a recent med school graduate or an already specialized doctor from an EU country wanting to practice in the Netherlands, you'll likely need to undergo a process to have your qualifications recognized and meet Dutch standards. If you're pursuing a residency, this involves ensuring your education aligns with Dutch requirements, while attending doctors will need recognition and compliance with Dutch medical regulations. Exact procedures can vary, so contacting the Dutch Ministry of Health or seeking advice from experts is advisable for precise guidance based on your situation.

Hi! Thanks for the video I am a citizen of India and also a Permanent resident of Australia. I have completed my high school from india than done Bachelor’s of nursing from Australia after which i did doctor of medicine from Australia as well.... i am a licensed doctor in Australia as well as india .....Does it make a difference as i have an Australian license? (bcz it is easier to practice in ireland for doctors with Australian medical licence because of our very similar education system)
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 9 месяцев назад
Yes, having an Australian medical license can be advantageous when considering immigration to the Netherlands as a doctor. Similar to the situation in Ireland, the Netherlands may recognize your Australian medical license as evidence of your medical education and qualifications. However, you would still need to meet other requirements such as language proficiency, recognition of your qualifications, and compliance with Dutch medical licensing procedures. Having the Australian license could potentially expedite the process and positively influence your application.

Hi, Great video! I'm a speciality doctor in psychiatry, and I did medicine in England, and all of my 5+ years experience has been in England. I have section 12 approval in the UK, and wonder if this can easily translate to the legal system in the Netherlands? Anyone with experience in moving from the UK to Netherlands, specifically in Psychiatry, id reeeeally appreciate a chat!
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 9 месяцев назад
Your Section 12 approval from the UK may not directly translate to the legal system in the Netherlands. The recognition of your qualifications and approval to practice in the Netherlands would typically involve a separate and specific process, as outlined in my previous responses. It's advisable to contact Dutch regulatory authorities and seek guidance to determine the exact requirements for your case.

I am an indian medical graduate. What all should i be doing in order to pursue residency in Netherlands?
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 4 месяца назад
To pursue residency in the Netherlands as an Indian medical graduate, you should: Learn Dutch to at least B2 level. Get your medical degree recognized by the Dutch Medical Association (KNMG). Pass the Medical Knowledge and Skills Test, if required. Register with the BIG register to legally practice in the Netherlands. Apply for residency positions in your chosen specialty. Obtain a work visa if you're not an EU/EEA citizen. Engage in continuous education and training.

For L2 visa holders in the United States, applying for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) has been a crucial step for those wishing to work legally in the U.S. The L2 visa is issued to the dependent spouses of L1 visa holders, who are in the U.S. on intracompany transfers. Why EAD is Required: Historically, while L2 visa holders were allowed to reside in the U.S., they were not automatically authorized to work. They needed to apply for an EAD by filing Form I-765, "Application for Employment Authorization," with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The EAD grants the holder permission to work in any type of job, for any employer in the U.S. Recent Changes: However, there have been significant updates to this policy. As of late 2021, a settlement in a lawsuit (Shergill, et al. v. Mayorkas) now allows L2 visa holders who are spouses of L1 visa holders to work incident to status. This means that L2 spouses no longer need to apply for an EAD to work in the U.S.; they are authorized to work based on their L2 status alone. This authorization should be reflected in the remarks section of their Form I-94 (Arrival/Departure Record) issued upon entry into the U.S., stating that the holder is an L2 spouse. Actions to Take: For New Arrivals: L2 spouses entering the U.S. should ensure that their I-94 record correctly notes their employment authorization incident to their L2 status. For Current L2 Holders: Those already in the U.S. might still need to apply for an EAD until their current I-94 is updated upon re-entry to the U.S. or through an application to USCIS to change the terms of their admission. Documentation: It’s important for L2 spouses to carry documentation showing their status and work authorization, especially when seeking employment or when required for official purposes.

Immigrating to the Netherlands as a doctor involves several costs, including qualification recognition, language proficiency, and visa processing. Here’s a simplified breakdown: Qualification Recognition: Costs approximately €800 to €1,000 for the recognition process through the BIG-register. Language Proficiency: Language courses can range from €500 to several thousand euros, plus around €180 to €250 for a Dutch proficiency test. Visa and Work Permit: Visa application fees and related costs can vary, generally ranging from €200 to €1,000 depending on the type of visa and additional legal services.

As a graduate from China and a citizen of Pakistan, if you have a valid license from Pakistan instead of China, your eligibility for working as a pharmacist in the Netherlands may be affected. The licensing requirements in the Netherlands typically consider the country from which you obtained your pharmacy degree.

@visalibrary 10 месяцев назад
To determine your eligibility for immigrating to the Netherlands as a doctor with a Moroccan degree, follow these steps: First, verify if your Moroccan medical qualifications are recognized in the Netherlands. Second, ensure you meet Dutch language proficiency requirements, as doctors usually need to communicate in Dutch. Third, check the requirements for registration with the Dutch BIG Register. Fourth, depending on your specialization, be prepared for additional training or internship requirements. Finally, consult the Dutch embassy or a professional immigration advisor for the latest information and guidance on the immigration and licensing process for medical professionals.

Dutch people have crazy requirements for South African doctors who want to live there. You can be a doctor with 5 years experience but you are required to start as an intern without even being paid.
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 9 месяцев назад
The requirements for South African doctors seeking to practice in the Netherlands can indeed be demanding. In some cases, even experienced doctors may need to start as interns without immediate compensation. This situation arises due to differences in medical qualifications and healthcare systems between countries. Dutch medical authorities often require foreign doctors to undergo a period of supervised training and evaluation to ensure they meet Dutch medical standards and are familiar with the local healthcare practices. While this process can be challenging and may involve unpaid internships, it's intended to uphold patient safety and maintain the high standards of healthcare in the Netherlands. It's important for foreign doctors to be aware of these requirements and be prepared for the potential transition process when seeking to practice medicine in a new country like the Netherlands.
