In this vlog I have tried to explain how to import the file in FCP X. And what is proxy and optimised media. How it works. Hope you all would have understand it. For further clarifications do comment in the comment box ill try my best to clarify it.

While converting the files to proxy. You said no need for carrying the hard disk. So how come it is possible to optimise the same clips while exporting?

i have on doubt....after editing using proxy media ......we should render files in proxy media or we should render optimized media in video.... before export the master file.....

Its depends on your original raw files, if you are working with nature file formats like mp4 or mov, you don't need to keep original file in fcp project backup, or else you have to keep the original media file. thank you..
