How to Import Wavetables to Arturia Pigments

Here, I demonstrate 3 ways to import what I call Serum-style wavetables (32-bit, 2048 samples-per-frame .wav files) to Arturia Pigments. I show where to find the individual wavetable import icon, the import folder icon, and also how you don't even need Pigments to be running to import wavetables -- just copy or move entire folders of wavetables to Pigments's user samples folder (on Windows it's under "ProgramData" which is usually hidden). Note, I assume you can also drag a single wavetable from your filesystem into the wavetable selection window, but that's a crappy type of interface, and we're talking about importing massive numbers of wavetables here (like the KRC Mathwaves wavetable collection).

Cool how the demo version lets you import user wavetables. Do you know if it lets you export as well? (for Pigment created wavetables)

Hey @SouthShoreSonics, I don't know. I suppose that's what the demo restrictions mean. (That and real-time rendering, I suppose.) I'm not a Pigments user. It has a great amount of (sub-standard) overlap with Korg modwave, so I don't feel compelled to own it. (It's obvious to me from the beta for Korg modwave native that the goal was to be at least as UX-friendly as Pigments and I think they exceeded that goal. In a sense, modwave is Pigments++. No disrespect to Arturia.)

Could you please make a video about using wavetables with Bitwig? I have so many old Serum wavetables I'm not making use of. When I go to import them, it adds thousands of blank unusable entries into Bitwig's wavetable browser and makes it unusable.

Hey @zyxyuv1650, I do have a video about importing wavetables to Bitwig. Bitwig doesn't properly import Serum-style wavetables (it misinterprets them as I demonstrate in that video). But I also provide (to anyone, for free) a Python script that will convert Serum-style wavetables to the ".wt" format that Bitwig expects.
