Here are 3 important tips to help you stand out at your next soccer tryout or trial. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner just starting out in the tryout process, these tips will help better showcase yourself and impress coaches.
Rule number one: put in the work and trust God to help you during the tryouts Edit: I didn’t make the team, I played with sore body for 3 days, gave all l got. To the point where I felt like l couldn’t stand or walk properly. I hid the pain, I got screamed at, the coaches made me play out of positions. I usually play center back but I played as a striker, left winger, goalkeeper, then midfielder. I gave all l had, my teammates keep shouting at me😔 no one could understand me. Yet another rejection, I haven’t made the team 2 times one in middle school and another in high school All the best to those trying out💔 Edit: that was my last day playing sport, I already decided to quit playing sports
Mine are today I’m wearing my cross necklace I’ve been running practicing my weak foot shooting just about everything I can cause I’m not sure what to expect in high school Edit: I made Junior Varsity while being one of the shortest on the team I played Right Mid in Middle school but seems like I’m playing Right Defense now
Idk if ur tryouts are like my highschool but we have a week straight of tryouts. Cuts are made on the third day usually. Most people are sore asf after the second day so that’s usually not an excuse (not saying your making one) also playing out of position is part of the tryout process. That’s why your training should not be dedicated to one position. Being best at all positions gives u the best chances. Lastly keep moving forward. Don’t stop playing. Not being on the team gives u more time to train by yourself and if you do you will likely make the team next chance u get. Don’t give yourself any excuses and make sure u stretch that soreness out all day after every session. The only things I ever do after a session or tryout is ice and cold shower then stretch, massage, nap. That’s it. Keep going Man U got this
I remember I sucked at soccer last year and still kinda do but better, and was nice to everyone and listened to the coach and made it on the team, even though I was on the bench a lot lol
Any other tips? Like not to be nervous, cause when I was at try outs the ball was in the air and I was just so nervous to get a touch on it and I completely miss hit the ball. I was so mad because if I was in the same situation at home or playing with friends I would have gotten a perfect touch.
I failed to get into the club I tried out for, but I have seen my mistakes, not playing as a team and just focusing on myself. I will try out again one last time. Thank you
@@stellablessing450 the coaches told me the team was too easy and they sent me to a tryout for a more competetive and better team that is 3 years above my age and i still made it!
I made it to the team above my age group and played well all season now all my local clubs are asking me to play with them lol its so awesome @@stellablessing450
i got my last day of high school tryouts tomorrow. I made it past the first cuts but there is one more day. I think I'm good enough but I don't know how to prepare for a rejection. edit: I made it 🥳
Guys someone please help me out I have tryouts in 2 days and have no idea what to expect what do they test you on or do they just have a game to test your performance?
Arrive early and fully warm up. Stay focused, stay on your toe. Try to shut up and be vocal only when needed. Ditch other craps this guy told you. Haha
