The best Madden content provider without question. Been rocking with you since the smooth beats you had in the background back on your earlier youtube content. YODA status 💯
Can't wait to try these tips. I've started using the tip you had on zone another way I heard it was. Don't make any adjustments. Don't press, don't shade them over the top and I've gotten so many more interceptions just leaving zone alone and messing with the d line.
Another thing you can do is play man align when using zone to trick opponents into thinking you’re in man coverage when they motion be careful though because it very well could throw off your leverage as well as base alignment it also throws off leverage
Thank you! I just moved over from old gen a few weeks ago and my adjustments from there were not working at all! These simple adjustments have done wonders for me DEF
Another great tip. I appreciate the content. It’s reinvigorated my desire to play this game and go beyond just the boring meta and actually learn concepts and adjustments
When I have Base align ON it does great with Zone coverage. But when I select a Man coverage play then my man alignment is totally screwed up and corners are guarding players on the other side of the field EXACTLY like yours was at the 10:31 mark of the video. This is why I went away from Base alignment
I play a lot of 33cub with safeties, cover 2 and 4, constantly burned by corner routes, but I also pinch my defense every play and only play match with cover 4, I hope this helps man, thanks
This is goof stuff. The base aligned tactic is in madden is interesting. I used to always base align back in the day, i was excited when they added the function to auto base. Just eliminated one extra hot route. I started to see a couple years ago you and others bash having base align on. I did and still do run into some issues with it such as RPOs, or wide spread formations because of the lack of help in the passing lanes. But i think the pro of having a consistently disguised defense out weighs the cons. you can game plan sometimes around the passing lane thing. I also never played man so base aligning was fine for me. In the recent maddens however I have been sprinkling in man and it has made the base align tactic that much more difficult to deal with, but u still got to be smart about it.
Great Tips Zan. I was playing recently in default, hated it. Madden 22 I base aligned constantly. I had to go back to it. Audible purposes in general. Love the manual jam as well. 💪🏼. I started using strafe again, my click on has been bad. I’m not sure if it’s a setting I gotta turn off, puts me about 7 yards away when I click 😂. I’ve started clicking on and holding turbo to try to catch up. Good video my man
I’ve never base aligned much cuz when I’m in any sort of man coverage the play art or coverage is super crazy looking!! It does seem better for switching up zone formations though but is it worth using it when in any man coverage?
base aligned man is kind of a mind screw for lots of players, but that's up to you. i recommend it because i use lots of coverages and prefer to hide the tells.
I see what you mean when it comes to zone coverage which I use 75% of the time, seems like it’s so easy to beat most man formations these days (besides certain blitzes) zone is the way to go for the most part and being able to switch between them without any tells is clutch
I use Base Alignment in Coaching Adjustments that's about it...I run with the Lions 3-4 defense. Notable play I call against opponents that get complete stops ...Empty Gun Base Flex...I counter with 2-4 Nickel Cover 3 Flats...
Stupid question: as a sim/franchise player, does base align matter when playing the cpu? Like, if all of my plays look the same, does the AI have less of a chance to audible to another play due to recognizing coverage?
Is there a way to press just one or 2 Wrs at a time with the cpu I would love to press but if they have even one press beating ability it’s a wrap. I would love to just press 1 or 2 wrs.
Why do the DB's always get burned though on that corner route. when they run bunch tight end corner, seems like at least one of the WR gets open, barely but always happens. Thanks
They definitely both matter. Match is zone when you're not matching. Man once you are matched. PRC determines how quickly you convert from zone to man.
Yes. But those manipulations are the small small minority of your games played. I learn the beaters as I run it and "proof" match by putting the correct quarter player into a deep zone that guards the route that's wide open.
Not going to lie that corner not base aligned was definitely a risky though lol. I feel like you could tell. But it is definitely good for making sure zones actually get to the outside definitely in drops
Definitely don't do that unless you know all your match rules and know you can afford to shade vs. your opponents' playcall. Sometimes quarterflats have to match verticals or RBs out of the backfield (wheels)
Mention Xbox to not every one has PlayStation and these idiots never once mentioned that coach adjustments is only on next gen donut u think should mention that dam man
For all the match rules does it matter if you have base align on? I subscribed to your website and their is so many different match rules from trips, 2x2, tight, bunch, etc so just wanted to make sure if I keep on it won’t mess up any rules.
I agree. If they can read the safety rotation then that could help. But yeah it does make you hold on to the ball more. I'm wonder do we use match with base align or no?
Hiding pre-snap reads from your opponents is enough to win games vs. many. Some people only set up plays based off info you give and have no ability to read post snap. That's why base align is so clutch.
@@Senio25 I would use all types of coverage with it. Because it has the same look if you call sky one play then they call Hurry up and you audible to match they just might throw the ball right into coverage.
Great incorrect generalization. IDK why you even load up Madden to be honest. Go play Roblox. Everything you lose to will forever be a glitch with that attitude.
Thanks for sharing man. I'd personally run around the comments section of things I don't enjoy spending my time in the manner you're spending yours over being *actually* productive, too.
