I’ve made transparency sheet copies of wings from photos of actual insects using a laser printer. The problem is, the transparency plastic isn’t flexible and easily breaks when tying onto a hook. The author of this video has a very bright idea! Is there a soft, pliable plastic that we could use in a laser printer? Should there be a new product of soft, tough, pliable, bendable, moldable, matte or shiny, plastic sheet material that’s designed for a laser printer? Is this a chance for a new patentable product?
Do you use some special type of tape? Just wondering how waterproof the tape would be? I realize the UV cement binds everything together but I wouldn't want the tape to start coming off and flop around.
Hey Thomas! I use a matte tape, which I think is more durable than a transparent. :) But try some and see how it will work for you. Normal office-tape :)
Dont stare at it....dont shine it on your skin and dont point it at your eye...and dont inhale the resin either..look both ways before j walking too..always pinch your barbs. Youll do fine
Cited from tying experience, older batteries in your UV torch (flashlight) can affect how long it takes for your UV resin to kick, or set. An obvious fix would be fresh batteries, but sometimes they aren't always available so you roll with what you have. Then there's the OCD side which dictates if a little UV is good, then certainly more is better.
