Here is time stamps for those who want to go to a instant type 0:00-2:30 Intro 2:30-11:10 destroyers 11:25-21:24 crusiers 22:20-35:21 battleships 35:30-36:10 outro
Then you get some scrub who cries about your w/l ratio, when after seeing their decisions in game you just know they were worse than you are now when they were less than 1k games played and grinding some pretty terrible ships. Had 1 guy in a DD off the bat leave our flank because of my stats apparently. So with little spotting the flank ended up folding. He achieved nothing, considering his 10k plus games I expected far better.
Its sad when im looking at missions seeing which can be done vs A.I not because i prefer it that way but because giving randoms 99 chances on chance 100 u tend to look for an alternative strat lol
Sorry to bust your bubble but there is hardly anyone it tier 7 beyond who doesn't care how they play . Games too much of a time investment to get to tier 7 not caring at all. Im a f2p player only premium ships i have are from xbox gamr pass reward perks which both are tier 3 destroyers destroyer is what i play least these days anyway. And ill tell you at tier 7 your not sitting there thinking damn if i only had a premium ship So you can kick ass as free to play i do recommend at least getting in a fleet and trying to have two or three people you can run gamrs wit Even just one team mate you can count on makes a world of diff. Even So
Some tips I have from a DD gunboat player, if you have good Torps, pre torp the cap. I cannot tell you how many DDs may spot me and 2 seconds later I catch them off guard with my previously thrown area denial Torps and dev strike them off the rip. Somers is especially good at this with 12 fast Torps. Also, in any ship, pay attention to splashes. Sometimes, a enemy ship gets hit by their own ships Torps and give away their DDs position or the fact that Torps are coming. See a smoke screen, fill it with Torps. RPF shows something around the corner? Torp the whole area. I get more kills catching people offguard with these techniques than I do trying to torp battleships or something in the back. Sorry Peek for spamming comments lol
This is how I play on the weekends........😤 under the influence.......cause it's not that serious. I've got 111 ships. You sunk this one? I've got 110 more warmed up, locked and loaded.....I'll be right back buddy.
Man, I try to help people in games that clearly don't know what they are doing and 99.9% of the time they don't listen or they tell me "sHuT uP iTs JuSt A gAmE." Nothing is going to change. Videos or not.
One thing that's hard for me is changing my game plan when my teamates are abandoning the cap we spawned at for no reason. I'll think, "well if I follow those two idiots we're 100% going to get flanked by the enemies pushing into this cap, but if I don't abandon this flank, I'm going to get focused down because I'm alone. I don't like the fact that my idiot teamates are dictating my gameplay, sometimes even forcing me to make shittier plays than I wanted to. What's a good decision when your team is just trying to stay alive until the end of the match?
THIS! Seriously- how hard is it to play the cap you spawn??? Today I had all the players on B TRADE caps with all the players on A. Literally, they passed each other and waved. W.T.F?
WG should give us the plays poorly report option just like PC. If WG doesn't want to fix the player base let us rid high tiers of scrubs that can't play the game
Ah this often happens to me too even im a mobile player and as a cruiser main i just confused what to do seeing my dd just ignoring the flank when the battle started, like the two option you mentioned could be ended up bad idea
Also shoot the proper targets, I was spotting a Baltimore in open water, was pinging the thing multiple times. Meanwhile 4 bb on my team sitting together in one square. Not a single one of them shot at it. I can't push up and spot for the team until it's dead.
Sound advice, matey. When it's DD versus DD, I always go straight to guns. If nothing else, there's always a fair chance I'll take out a key system immediately. If he isn't shooting back, this tells me that he is (probably) launching torps, therefore I need to do a major turn ASAP.
29:34 Marco Polo loads SAP and aims for super structure. At that range, it’s pretty easy for all or most of your shells to hit and penetrate the superstructure, doing full pen damage
I play the Zara a lot, with Sansonetti and man... 5-7k per salvo every time consistently with the SAP with almost no overpens. Just don't get blind sided by some AP, cause I just got crushed for 33k in one salvo camping behind an Island. Just as i started to move, I was obliterated.
With ships like the Riga at close range vs lightly armored cruisers, I always hit the water just below the waterline. Hitting the water arms the shell and you almost never get overpens and way more juicy citadels.
I’m just getting into the game and you helped me realize I’m way better at destroyers then I was anything else and I was trying to play battle ships thank you
I'm not gonna say they're not potatoes. But there's so much RNG in the game, it's kind of hard to land a full Salvo on a battleship when my Shells fly like my gunners are drunk. 🥴
I'm the guy who play on weekends. Here is how it works. I have everything I need in my life, no need to prove yourself by winning games. So all I need - just get my cup of tea, relax in front of the monitor, scrolling instagram by one hand and do something in wows by second hand. Just talking to my dudes in the party, have fun and get happy when you are able to hit some one with a torpedos. No needs to be a nolifer cybersportsman 😉
@@caneforto346 It's not about the winrate or any stats. No matter if I'm fully focused on the game or just playing while chilling with my dudes I would not want to be losing 60% of my games -> Your battles are shorter, you wait longer for your mates, etc. And as a matter of a fact: The game gets sooo much better when you start to understand how and why things work and know more about tactics.
I sometimes think there should be more requirements, like exp or something, to actually play standard at legendary. The players are often so bad at high tier I don't play up there as most matches are one sided and over in 10 minutes. Plus the que times are long.
As a weekend baddie... Idk what the problem is. My shells just fall all around my target without hitting. I can stop shells in a perfect circle around an enemy, hitting water on all for sides.
I’m really happy with my cruiser and battleship techniques I’ve only played for a bit and I’ve had no problems with higher damage games and a few krakens but biggest problem I have is my inconsistent accuracy I’m improving slowly but I rarely hit devestating salvos on other bbs
I needed (still do) this video...and I definitely want/intend to get better...so much so that after I finish watching I'm going to have to go research terms you used then rewatch. I'm only 9 minutes in so I'm sure the list will increase, but so far: twist and track, perception, RPF...no idea what any of those are.
Definitely a difference between weekday and weekend, I'm a 51% sub 2k XP average player and I watch and think WTF, sometimes you have a game where you get spotted and focussed but when the majority of the games collapse in 5 mins it's concerning, and don't get me started on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
Pete I almost stop playing on the weekends.but I just started to play battleships on the weekends mostly.the guys who play on the weekends really help me in my battleship play. I mostly play destroyers Great video for destroyer players to watch. Actually a great video for most of the people to watch. Anything you can watch and learn from is great.
No matter your level of expertise or experience, the good thing is that with each new ship or "feature" that is brought to the game, Legends changes just a little. This means there are always new strategies to learn. Used to be a Scrub in the Mainz, because I used to always play it close up. Nowadays, I play more far back and into Island cover to farm BBs, like all Firespammers were meant to lol. Anyway, what I'm saying is, Even pros can still pick up a thing or 2. I started playing back when Jean Bart was a Campaign ship, and I learn new things almost every time I play
@@ellissmith3396 Any ship can be good or bad depending on the player. I person in a Shimakaze can still throw. Yeah it's broken but the player requires skill too. Simple Ship choice is like 20% of the entire skill rating of how good a player is.
Mainz shouldn’t be just a fire spammer.German HE sucks. Shoot AP. That’s the bread and butter. AP is effective damage in that you can’t heal it like you can heal fire damage. Definitely play close islands too. You have 4 racks of torps, sonar, planes, kick ass guns. What more could you need?
Nice job, Peek. You should do some how to videos on different ships at random and even different tiers. How to Fubuki, How to Nelson, How to Georgia, etc. - hundreds of different options and showing how each ship is a little different & requires different tactics.
GG in the Iowa. Great tips for players to glean from if they didn't already know. The the big question will it reach the masses? WG give Peek a job as trainer 😉
Nice video! I'm a total noob, just got the game on my PS4, so I'm probably one of those idiots you mention :) but at least I'm trying to improve. Anyway, some notes: 1. Is it only this one strategy that is proven to always be the best? I.e. engaging the cap where you were spawned? 2. To fully grasp this video you first need to study the WoWL lingo used, like RPF, RGA(?) etc. 3. Tips like "look at the minimap" and "have situational awareness" doesn't say me much unless you give more details of what that really means. Nevertheless, I still learned a ton from this video, thanks!
Good thing everyone gets paid to play video games and make RU-vid videos. Awesome job bashing the people who actually have to work during the week at real jobs and only get to play on the weekends. Way to go bro.
I also don’t think these assignments and challenges help teamwork. Instead you have DD’s chasing kills cause they need them. I too did this, I need torps to hit for a challenge so do you think I’m going to cap or hunt down BB’s to hit torps? I’m a team player but when no one is trying to win then why care about the team results. Instead the developers should be putting up assignments that promote team play instead of individual results.
Bro I was with a team of destroyers. Screamed at both of them because the fubuki was afraid of an akatsuki and our other dd was hovering near a separate cap. The fubuki refused to push into the cap and spot so we could help him and the other dd refused to leave his cap. I eventually found out that the enemy fubuki came to our cap as well. 2 useless dd and me dodging as much as I can just to get devstrike by 3 fubu torps in a t6 bb. The level of team play in a team based game is fenomonally nonexistant.
Many players only know how to shoot, they have no concept of angles, positions, caps, time or how to win and they think the American ships on other side are their team mates lol.
Reminds me of that one game from the other night, where our Daring ran from two shimas so when I took over the flank due to my flank being clear minus one bb at 18km the friendly Montana yelled at me for “not supporting the weak side” (he had three ships, you included, against one so he was fine.) People seem to have this weird ego problem where if you don’t do exactly what they want you are playing bad.
Destroyers are difficult to predict which makes then hard to hit, so i never aim for them unless their at point blank cause then my shells are sure to hit them.
Wargaming needs to fix matchmaking so badly. Either your game has 8 destroyer or it has one. Make em wait an extra 10 seconds so that it’s proportionate. The spawns are trash, spawning two BBs on the same side as a carrier, a DD and the numerous fire spammers that WG loves to use for money grabs. You know nobody at WG plays their own game cause I refuse to believe if they did, they wouldn’t change it. Also, Kaga is way too fucking strong. It is AIDS in floating form.
If they made the vs AI harder it would really help new players in that they don’t get used to just charging in every match. They play vs ai thinking their learning the game but in reality its just given em bad habits
Entertaining video Peek. Unfortunately training rooms, how to videos and loading screen tips won’t fix the 15-20% players who play-to-lose and are AFK. These servers need live Admins to monitor the disruptive and counter productive players
You keep saying RPF as a new player ( 2 weeks) that plays a hour or two in the evening after work what are you talking about when you say RPF. The biggest issues I'm having sometimes either in a DD or Cruiser is Torpedoes showing up at the very few secs before I get blasted by them and have no time to dodge or I go into a Cap to spot for the group I spawn with I'll have like 4 or 5 ships blast me all at once or one shotted by a cruiser or battleship that I haven't even spotted
You're saying it's a 15 minute match but alot of matches are ending with alot of time left because people leave match, devs need to implement matches last until Whole team is destroyed. You join you can't leave PERIOD
wait how bad are we talking here like the 5 ships doing broudside shooting on one ship and missing or are they firing while getting closer because aint no way 5 ships can miss a broudside shot and not a single shell hits the bb i usually do broudside and sometimes i miss but most of the time i hit them in the citadel almost killing them it can either be any class except submarines and carriers
