Thanks for watching! What exercises are you going to try? Comment below! You can also find all these exercises in our blog - e3rehab.com/blog/shoulder-range-of-motion/
@E3Rehab: My right hand external, internal, flexion and abduction is not happening like my left arm. Can it be cured with exercise? I am very stressed due to this problem. Please help me. Also I feel weakness in my right arm.
What if you're a sprinter? I'm fast, but my arm range of motion isn't as good, in order for me to apply more power off the ground. For example, if look at a picture of Carl Lewis or Tyson Gay.. they have full range of motion in their sprint form. I'd like my arm range of motion to be equally as good. Do you know of any exercises I could do please??
I have spent months trawling through You Tube videos trying to find exercises to help my shoulder injury. Here and there you find one or two exercises, but this is a complete programme. Easy to follow levels for everyone. This is seriously the best thing I have ever watched. I am diligently following along and progressing through the levels. My mental health was really suffering but after finding this I can honestly say YOU have shone a little light at the end of the tunnel. Sincerely thank you so so much😇
One of the very best videos I have seen on this important topic. I'm in my seventies, vegan, and in pretty decent shape. I have a few range of motion issues, but will employ all of these stretches and exercises. I'm confident I'll see some significant improvement within a few months. Thanks for posting this!
Informative, accurate, well demonstrated and explained. Thanks for covering us seniors reduced needs while still encouraging advancement. Had rt reverse shoulder and also gave tear on left untreated as yet. Viewed many videos. Yours was the best. Thanks for your help.
Thank you for this helpful video. I have been looking for something like that for months. Things that I thought were helpful were assessment, various levels of difficulty, and specific exercises for each type of rotation. Thank you!
This is such a Godsend.. one year out from left rotator full tear, doing really good. But now my right is a problem MRI says small tear.. thank you very much!!
I have hurt both my shoulders over the years playing rugby, hockey and skiiing, but thought that I had managed to get good mobility back. Doing your tests showed that my left arm external rotation is much poorer than you demonstrate, so will definitely be working on that. Thanks.
There are no words to express how grateful I am to have found this channel at all. I have calcific tendonitis and shoulder impingement. There has been no improvement for over three months. Visits at the a physiotherapist did not help. Zero. The injection only saved me from severe pain for 4 weeks. I was advised to have surgery. No rehabilitator or physiotherapist who is paid a lot of money will advise you on what this video contains. Bravo and many thanks. For examples, details, tips. After spending a few months searching on the Internet, I haven't found anything better on the Internet. After a week of exercises using this video, I feel an improvement in shoulder rotation and much less pain by about 50%!!! Finally, I can SLEEP and don't suffer. Incredible! Thanks again, and you can't imagine how MUCH you help people. I am so lucky to have found your channel. Thank you very much! You are my lifesaver!!♥♥♥
As always...excellent content. I have double total shoulder replacements (sports injuries and arthritis) and these will be extremely valuable to me. Thanks so much.
Amazing video, so much effort put into it. I've had a shoulder injury and never actually fully recovered external rotation, I'll try with these excercises!
@@matyasmatejka4242 at the beginning I started with three sessions per week, then scaled down to 2 after the 6th week and now I scaled again down to 1 'cause I feel I don't need any more than this
So well explained and helpful video. I went through a latarjet surgery for recurring shoulder dislocation. It would be a great help if you could make a video on post-op recovery exercises. Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much I am recovering from a shoulder surgery and I think I should get this on a chart on my wall..!! This is more than sufficient for my shoulder recovery journey😊
Shoulder painful with limited range of motion from broken elbow AKA olecranon 11 weeks ago. Bone is healed but shoulder is not functioning properly making it painful to do hair and to sleep soundly. Finally decided today I need to focus on my shoulder. My hand and fingers still swell with the inability to write. Flexion, extension, supination, and pronation are all decreased significantly. I hope this video helps!😢
This is exactly what I was looking for!! I have been doing Ashtangayoga for about 6 months and I am learning that my body has some needs, especially in the shoulder and back. This video with exercises will be so helpful for me. I can't wait to start!
Doctor, Your video is excellent in content, quality of information and edition. I am 64 years very active. I fell of my bicycle and I separated my shoulder. Now I’m in therapy but I found your video helps more than my physical therapist. No I have it as a reference. Thank you I hope in Six weeks I have done some progress I will report you. Thank
this summery is so great! I knew most of the movements already, but connecting them all together with specific explanation was missing on RU-vid. Thank you so much!
Thanks for your video had labrum surgery on my left shoulder and been trying to regain strength its still weak some of these exercises will be incorporated in my routine
Ill try to do all exercises I can, i needed this for volleyball, want to take it to highee level. I noticed i have better mobility in internal and external rotation overall. Thank you so much for your contribution ❤
My shoulder external and internal rotation is very bad from staphylococcus infection when I was a kid, I’m definitely giving these exercises a try, my arm is actually 20mm shorter then the other from not using it properly
I'm so glad to have found this video!...2 1/2 years ago I separated my left shoulder and had previously torn the rotator cuff group on the same shoulder. My range of motion is not good as is the strength of the shoulder. I've started working out again and really need to focus on my shoulders so this video is timely!...Thank you for your very well-done instructional video!
I have a similar situation, I see n your comment from 6 months ago. I'm very interested and hopeful to hear how this has helped. So, how is it working?
Thank you for this. The flexion, I didn't know the name before, of my left shoulder prevents me from doing overhead presses without a lot of back contortions. I shall try these workouts. RU-vid is a wonderful resource for workout stuff.
This is a kick-ass video with no B.S. and it gets a like, which I rarely give out-what are they worth if everyone gets one...😄 15 min with NO product slinging, no subscribe and like and check out my blog speeches-rare! and I can tell everyone I have come back to this video weeks after i incorporated his methods for review and I HAVE had improvement!
After 2 years of without dislocations ,it happened again(I refused to do the surgery) ,im planing new programs to cover my weak points and your videos are very helpful l,thanks a lot
I lost my shoulder mobility last year from illness. I was sick for the last year and due to inability to move my arms I developed frozen shoulders. Your video has given me hope that through these exercises I can regain my range of motion. Thank you !
@@botrott I actually signed myself up for a membership at my comunity wellness center where they have a weight room , pool and classes you can go to. I started using the pool 3 days a week attending excercise classes . I did what I could and in 1 and a half months I regained my full range of motion. Now I am going to the pool 4 days a week focusing on strength training to rebuild the muscle tone I lost. For me this was the easiest most pain free enjoyable way to regain my range of motion and particularly heal my frozen shoulder. I found consistent movement was the key to it all. I hope this is helpful to you and that you get well soon.
Just the kind of video I was looking for. Thank you, once again, for providing us with such top-notch free content. Edit: Currently trying out the exercises to determine my daily routine level. My right scapula is so winged that it's super uncomfortable to perform external rotation on the floor (90° angle between the upper arm and the body). It sucks. 🙄
@@matyasmatejka4242 Hello! My scapula is much better now, four months later. I have to be honest and say that these exercises didn't help me much. Not saying they are a waste of time. However, I've noticed the biggest progress after incorporating Tim Anderson's Original Strength movements into my routine. I'm not their spokesperson or affiliated with them in any way, but their approach to movement has been short of life-changing for me. I suggest you give Original Strength a try, especially rocking and crawling movements. There are many free videos on their channel. Again, I don't want to diminish E3's great contribution to the world of fitness and physiotherapy, just stating what worked best for me. Take care and good luck!
@@tc-3 oh, thanks good know. I will try both. And i want to ask you one question. I started to workout my arms about 2 months ago. Tricep, bicep and forearms. I have problems with bicep curls, because of my shoulder rotation. Had you similiar problem, or it wasnt barrier for you? I have a big problem with my shoulder rotation and iam trying to find someone, who had problem, what i have now. And iam trying to fix it. Thanks again and have a good day.
Thank you very much mate for this exercise!!!! I had collarbone surgery and this exercise helps me a lot for my motion shoulder and elbow!!! Amazing video!
Thank you for this insightful information. I have always been puzzled why I am unable to get my elbows against the wall when trying to do "wall angels". I'll try some of your suggested stretches. 👍
I began fitness at the age of 56. I'm lucky I still can. But lack of shoulder mobility due on sedentary lifestyle "burns" my shoulders out way too fast during lifting. The exercises in this video appear to nicely address various range of motions I have little bit of trouble with. I've saved this video (downloaded) because of of continuous internet scrubbing these days. What I like the most is simplicity and practicality. I've seen other shoulder-related videos, but they are way too complex as the shoulders is a complex study - I have noticed. But I don't have to understand it all, as long as the exercises are responsible and reasonable I'm happy.
Hello Sir. Thanks a lot for the nice video. It was helpful to understand mine. I fall down heavily with shoulder as you showing in the video and I have TYPE3 case and I am not going for surgery and instead I am going with Conservative treatment. It’s been more than one month. Any suggestions how long it takes to start my exercise for type 3
