Nice set up! We purchased our first in text pool pump in March and after using it for two months the motor died. Receiving a new motor today and hopefully this one will last. Your videos are very helpful!
I bought the Hayward skimmer and didn’t think to install that return head (no real need) but I am SO GLAD I’m subscribed and saw this video… great tip, great video sir.
They sell similar adapters on amazon asell. I made my own angled 90 jet with some pvc and 2 zipties i had in the garage. Installed it onto return of ny bestway pool. It made a huge difference. But it did cause pump to run harder due to pressure. So keep that in mind.
very nice but be careful of total alkalinity if increased. bubble water increase my total alkalinity very much, so i stopped to use the hydro aeration technology valve in my AGP.
EXACTLY! He reduced volume output and increased the pressure, thus reducing the water flow... He has actually reduced the force.. The OP should read up on water flow dynamics.
Hello friend, I saw your video and I tried to perform this modification also on my Intex 26326NP (488*122) with the 26679 sand pump, given that in Italy the nozzle sold is from the GRE, I have not noticed any improvement, with the pump in filtration the pressure of the delivery has almost dropped..
I have a question ive purchased the adapter peice for the return jet my question the adapter peices are longer than the peice tht came with ur Hayward skimmer does the long bottom part screw off , Hope this makes sence lol
I have the intex aeration return jet ,does this do the same thing with more force or is it just like when you close the air port on the intex return you get a little more force but no air bubbles introduced into the stream .
So, you created more fail points and more restriction on the outlet of the filter? I'll pass. You've reduced volume and increased pressure. Great when pressure washing on a targeted area but not great when trying to move a large body if water around. You need volume to do that along with pressure. You said it yourself, the intex outlet was fine, it was. What you've done is reduce volume.. You changed a garden hose out for a straw and are claiming it will move more water around. It wont...BTW, aerating your pool is a sure fire way to have unstable PH. The return should be pointed down, away from the intake just so that it ripples the surface of the water.
@@LifeLessOrdinary It is not an opinion, its a fact. I was expecting some neat trick with the pump itself, that would be worth a How to. But hey it seems you helped some people with it, so who am i? 😁
