Thank You so much for this Pastor Issac if you don’t mind me asking a few questions please because I have this hunger recently for biblical information, I don’t know how to explain it..I first discovered your teaching through Pastor Jerry and decided to look you up on RU-vid also..1 question what version of the Bible are you reading from and 2 question why do you have church on Saturdays? is there something that I need to know about having church on Sunday?..I Grew up in Pentacostal/baptist family and my Uncle and Auntie I lived with were Pastors but it was a very abuse and hostile, sinful environment for me as a very small child..God is using you so much to help me and teach me..Thank You so much for Giving God your yes and continuing to obey him and allowing him to use you to help us..❤️..sorry for the long message..I am a communicator..😂((I talk a lot)
Excellent questions. First, I study mostly from NKJV, NRSV, KJV, ESV. I usually read from NLT and NLT. I study from word for word translations to get a closer understanding of what the text could literally be saying. I read from thought for thought translation in order to understand and comprehend the concept better because it reads better for me to understand using language I can understand better. When I preach I will likely read from thought for thought so people could easily understand it and break it down from what I studied. Which is word for word. Make sense?
For your second question. I'll keep it simple and when you reply, if I need to detail, I will. Two simple reasons. First, we GATHER on Saturdays. Since Jesus' death in Calvary, we are no longer bound to worship on a specific day. In Acts 3, they went to worship every day. We are trained to only GATHER on Sundays. Our church will gather at some point on Sundays to receive instruction. But we are leaving our comfort zone because today in our country, the number of non church goers has increased to its highest percentage since this country's existence. For me that tells me, that the church must be willing to shake things up. For us, one way to engage non Christians is to find a way to meet them outside of what our norm has been Sunday at 11am. We gather on Saturdays and go make disciples every other day of the week. We still gather for church-related things on Sundays. But we gather in a non-traditional building on a non-traditional day, at a non-traditional time. BECAUSE WE ARE NOT HERE TO SAVE THOSE WHO KNOW JESUS BUT TO SAVE THOSE WHO ARE FAR FROM HIM. And those who are far from him are more inclined to gather at a non traditional time to receive instruction. Plus, many churches have a service on Saturdays in addition to Sundays. Secondly, the Lord told me to. It's uncomfortable for me. And I knew a lot of religious church goers would not like it. But God told me we were not building a church for religious people. But for people who desire to complete His mission. Make disciples who multiply themselves. Third, as a church plant, it is more likely we will find help on a day and time that isn't as congested. People who help us with a lot of critical things around the church have other obligations on Sunday. But this time of the day and week allows them to help us as we get in the rhythm of establishing ourselves. Audio engineers, producers, and vocalists, etc. So it was necessary for us to build and establish ourselves. God challenged me to be uncomfortable to meet those who are far from Him. Gathering on Saturdays and teaching the people not to be so bound to religion and tradition that you miss Him. Essentially those are the reasons. We are in Jesus and under His blood, so it enables us to gather and scatter as we choose. We are not seven day adventists.
When I Say This Message Was For Me, I Mean It!! God Has Walked Me Through Each And Every One Of These Scriptures, But I Didn’t Understand What He Was Telling Me. This Just Gave So Much Clarity!! Thank God & Thank You For Being A Willing Vessel. May God Bless You, Keep You, And Shine His Face Upon You & Your Ministry!!
Amen! I am drained and tired feeling very discouraged at this especially when those around me treat me badly talking to me as I am worthless. At this point I just do not know anymore I have been waiting for years and do not know how long I can hang in. It is hard for me to trust people right now because of how I am being treated. I am tired of crying on the inside not showing how I really feel.
Do not believe anything that goes against who God has told you you are. Cast down every imagination that exhalt itself higher than God. Pastor spoke about the enemy attacking your identity. God deems you valuable and worthy. Ignore the noise of the enemy. Seek God in all things. You are victorious.
Pastor Issac… just wow. This was just what I needed. “….in all thy getting, get UNDERSTANDING” Outstanding message, so timely, so relevant, so on point. God bless you Pastor ❤
