Now that you mention it, I don't think the microwave has ever actively appeared doing anything in any videos! But I use it to heat up pickling solutions for jewelry, water for anything that might require water hotter than my sink can provide, and I've even steamed wood in it (for bending). 😁 ...and I have sometimes re-heated my tea/coffee after it's gone cold, too!
Nice tool chest. Mine doesn't house any tools. It houses my Upper Carboniferous Mazon Creek fossil collection. Went with two sections of stackables gives me 14 shallow drawers and one deep one. Tools are in a repurposed 5 drawer filing cabinet. I don't use many tools. I have a small case of tools in the house for the occasional need of a screwdriver, hammer, or pliers. Ads are a necessary evil when watching RU-vid videos. Mostly, I hover the Skip Ad button area in order to click it as soon as possible and ignore whatever is being promoted. In fact, most of the time I couldn't tell you what was being advertised. So, if there is benefit to you generated by RU-vid ads, it certainly won't affect my patronage of your channel. Don't use an ad block because I'm too cheap to pay for it. (Senior here on a fixed income; lots of costly medications; have to watch my expenses.) Same reason I dumped TV/cable. Got too expensive. Haven't missed it in 8 years. Love your entire workshop space. Everything you need, everything has a place, and everything is usable without much in the way of moving things around to access them. Brilliant organization! The best part? That there is a place especially for the kitties.
oOh fossils? I used to collect fossils ...waaay back in the day. Now all I have left is a trilobite or two in my rock specimens collection cabinet. On the ads, I understand somebody has to pay to keep this whole thing running, and ads are a good source for that, but I still can't stand them, and it's not because it's taking up my precious time, it's because ads tend to be so silly, and in so many cases totally out of touch with reality (have you seen car commercials? Ugh!).
What an organization! Every little space is smartly used. And how clean it is to be a workshop! That's why Ash gladly hangs around there 😊.Besides, your cats have exactly the same Princess Celestia (My Little Pony) blanket my daughter has. It is such an old blanket that she loves and kept with such a care! It is still very soft. Interesting video and great workshop! 👍
Thank you! 😊 We have a bunch of those pony blankets; back in the day when that show came out, we got one for one of the cats (Punkin), and she immediately knew it was for her. Then later we got another random blanket and she wanted nothing to do with it. We got another pony one, and she went for it. And the other cats like them too, they know it's /their/ blankets. I wonder if it's the colors that entice them or something. 🤔
Someone likes his labelmaker. I do the same at the kitchen and some storage shelves at my workspace. Especially helpful when you get students or co-workers from different departements to help you out. Kinda surprised the cats didn't make an appearance. RU-vid should have mentioned that having a cat in your video is bound to tripple all earnings. Or at least tripple the viewership. ;)
The labels are part of my organization OCD. 😊 The cats were busy, I had just fed them some tuna so they were full of energy chasing eachother around the house. 🐈🐈🐈
What do you know your thinking was correct about where the ad placement haha. I guess if you want to try to earn a little more money you know how to do so. Still I enjoyed the workshop tour! I'm always impressed whenever I see an organized person like yourself, it ALMOST makes me want to do the same 😅
I'm debating doing a follow-up to the whole 'try to earn a little more money on RU-vid' thing, because so far the statistics on this video have revealed some interesting data that is not exactly what one would expect!
Thank you, that's so sweet of you! 😊 I can look into the membership option, but if I recall correctly, I checked it out a while ago and felt like RU-vid expected me to do a lot of work for it.
