What helped me when detaching the glad hands for the air hose. I used the step well as a brace push against it to attach the glad hands push against it again to detach them. It's really simple you wouldn't hurt yourself, and you're using a metal brace.
I'm not mechanicly inclined but thank you for this very formative video I do reefer and been out here eight years almost and learn something every day thank you sir! I like the fact you actually showed how to do something and not just talk about it !❤happy traveling 😊
@TruckerDudeEBM you might want to Google 'load inflation tables'; pressures for big truck tires range anywhere from 70 psi to 130 psi. It is commendable that you highlight the importance of checking tire pressures, but it is equally important to provide accurate answers.
Where can you buy an air Hose that is long enough to reach the tandem tires, assuming they are all the way forward? Does the gladhand for the airhose need to be purchased separately?
You can get them at any truck stops! They are usually in the tools section! Keep trying, if one truck stop does not have them go to the next one! The air hoses at truck stops come with glad hands already installed! You can also get these hoses at a hardware store such as Home Depot, but at hardware stores, the hoses will not have the glad hands! So truck stops are your best bet because they come with everything you need!
This is so embarrassing, but I had no idea how to inflate the interior truck or trailer tires until now. I will not be saying how long Ive been driving lol, but I thank you for the video. 😊
Hello, I was wondering while you inflate do you keep the truck running? I have a low tire and I tried using the hose at an pilot by the gas pumps and it hadn’t work for me. I’ve found this video and I’m going to try it now. I’m a new driver 😅
Hello ! Actually are you aware of tire inflator for semi trucks that you use with 12 volts cigarette ? Resently, had to inflate tire with glad hand and it took so long and inconvenience to be on my knees or just bow down ,it really hurt my back, just thought that may it be easier solution for that? Regards
shouldn't truck tires be inflated in some garages where they have safety cages for the tires? if there is anything wrong with the tyre and you might be not aware of that, it could explode, such a big explosion (since truck tires are huge) can easily kill you.
Yeah when you first buy the tires yes, but when your out on the road and the tire is mounted on the truck how do you think what your saying is going to work??
@@TruckerDudeEBM well, yeah you're right at this point, but they should make it mandatory for trucks' hoses to have a lock-on system where you can lock it onto the valve and then inflate it from a safe position, so in case of a blowout you're staying out of explosion radius, such a shame they can't make this simple adjustments, accidents like this happens every year and people get hurt.
Ive got the same tool, but it doesnt work. Been trying to do the front for 15 minutes but it just lets air out. Ive lost 20 psi. I even screwed the fittings together, which is dangerous, but it wont work. I recommend not buying or using that tool
You try to sound clever in your dumb comment!!! But to answer your dumb question it seems that you are forgetting that there are a lot of new drivers have not learned such things yet!! When you started wiping your a.., were you an expert at it or did you have to learn to do it properly??? 👍👍👍👍
For me, I saw someone doing this passing the road doing this and I didn’t believe it so I looked it up and this was here. Thank you sir. I’m not a truck driver and did not know this
