Thanks so much for the video. I just gave myself my first injection. I wouldn’t have been able to without seeing your video. Now I’m on the road to recovery. This video is better than Humira’s how to inject video.
Thank you for this very informative video. I was prescribed this with no instructions on how to administer it to myself. The literature that came with the medicine was a bit confusing- maybe because I was a little nervous. Thanks to you, I successfully gave myself my first injection.
I kept screwing up my injection and wasn’t getting the full amount of medication. Now I realize the plastic has to be flush. I wish the instructions on the box were this clear! I maybe got 1/2 the injection both times I’ve done it. The rest as just sort of leaked out. Thanks doc! Hopefully in 2 weeks I get it right and actually get the full effect!
As a pharmacist I’ve had questions before regarding what patients describe as a rather large air bubble. I’ve never actually used the pen myself so have not seen what bubble exists. From what I’ve been able to gather from my own research is that any bubble that sits on top of the liquid during the injection will not pose an issue. If you have a different experience please comment. Thank you.
@@3653john - when this video was made I don't think citrate free was an option. The injection without the citrate is rather recent. But it still burns and hurts!
@@தமிழோன் I've been using Humira for at least 6 months, and it's been awesome! My flares are down to almost nothing and the leakage has stopped completely.
This doctor Lonesky would never answer you . He is a fraud . I was a pt there unfortunately. I have RA and fibromyalgia. He never once examed me, touched me , listened to my heart or lungs EVER! Even after I told him I had to stop humira as my heart would race, thump so hard I couldn't sleep for 3 to 4 days right after taking it for months. He they just did not care . Lc rheumatology is the worst office to deal with and he the worst doctor I ever went too. Hope this helps others to think before going there or getting these biologic. Oh and he comes off saying hes a Christian man . Trust me when i say its only words and he knows nothing about how to treat people as christ tells us too ! Or his office... i hqve meet others in this town who say the same things about him and his office ... but God will always have the last say .... so i say goodbye and live happy with better medical help now . Thank you God !❤
I have psoriatic arthritis and Methotraxate and Leflunimide haven't worked. The Doctor is sending information off to the NHS so I can be prescribed this drug. However I am SOOOOOOOOO nervous about injecting myself.
@@richardcraig8780 it could hurt but not really but there is some cream that numbs the area of the injection that makes it less painful I reccomend waiting an hour and it really helps!
If you are cleaning injection area with alcohol prior to injection wait atleast two minutes or wipe with dry tissue paper so that way it burns less ; actually I'm not even sure if It injected the medicine into my body , How will I know if it works ?
My neurologist referred me too a rehumatologist !for my psoriasis for over 44 years! And my psoriasis arthritis...for20 years.... How are you too inject humira! !When you have trouble your fingers in your joints.... And they crack and bleed.... I have trouble pushing a needle down when my fingers. hurt me so badddddd!im scared too take humira my dermatologist start it in 6 weeks... I'm on prescription pain patches for my pain all over my body.... Because of piratical arthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica.... And I don't no if I still going too take humira or not... I'm scared about the burning of the shot... And the side effects of lymphoma.... I already on insulin once in the evening.... I can't imagine taking another shot.... Ugh....
Hey. I am doing my first injection today. I watch the video and read some comments.. This video is old. Any one can tell me what is experience using humira for while? Especially if body feel little weak or catching some flu because of immune system is weaker? Thank you
You don’t have to. But a lot people lift up when they release the button so that’s why they recommend holding the button down. Make sure your doctor prescribes the citrate free version that way it will not burn. 👍🏻
My Subliminal Results I take humira too!!I just got my first two injections on Monday! The nurse gave me one in my stomach and I gave myself the injection in my thigh. I’m 15.
You poor bbys so young and already have UC I mean me too but I’m a little older lol not by much though 17, anyways is it painful to inject and easy? Gotta do two of them on Saturday 😪
Forget about all the possibility of lowering your immune response to infections, serious and fatal infections (their words not mine) have happened to those on it, as well as blood, liver, and nervous system problems, serious allergic reactions, and new or worsening heart failure. I guess it's worth the trade - you might lose your SYMPTOMS and get an entirely new headache. After all, holistic possibilities require too much effort and sacrifice - why do it when you can take a magic drug?
What an asshole. Try talking to me about a decade of "effort and sacrifice" after you get off your high horse. Maybe then you'll get to know one damn thing about the desperate people you're so quick to judge. The award for most arrogant asshole on the internet goes to this dick. Well done loser.
