Oldies but goodies. The only coding that seemed easy to learn and apply was HTML even back in 2003 when I had zero programming knowledge. Side tip, to align the image in the center of the browser page (my preferred method), add: (at the beginning of the line and) (at the very end ). So, it looks something like this:

@mikawahwah The file name can also be case sensitive. Also can you try adding a "/" slash right before the closing ">" symbol? That will close the element, and your browser may be getting tripped up on that.

Yes, I was struggling with getting the image ( in the same folder as my index.html file) showing up too. When I used a complete link to an actual published image on the web, no problem, but not when in a folder on my pc. Only when I added the "/" right before the closing ">" symbol it finally showed up. Thanks, your teaching skills are very good!

OMG!! I've been working on this one issue for over a week and finally stumbled on this video and IT WORKED. I'm so thankful and grateful for your help. broken image solution- save your image with out file extension .jpg in the folder and remove /> and just put closing bracket >. its because Most HTML5 elements are not self-closing, but many elements do not require an end tag.. try below example:

Is it possible to insert the image without saving it? I am using a niche CMS that will not allow me to save images. Aka could you have your HTML search via your link? Maybe an iFrame?

so you have to keep that image in your folder til the end of time? If you delete it, it wont be on the site anymore? What if your putting the image up just for the website then u wanna delete it for space?
