Great information. I'm curious, have you ever shot a .458 SOCOM? I think it's a very interesting cartridge and am wonder what you think about it.

Thank you Aaron. I have never had the opportunity to shoot a .458 SOCOM. I too think its an interesting cartridge but have not studied it.

Another very good informative video. I check daily to see what else you can teach me. My question is a bit premature of this video but maybe can be added or another topic. That is "Neck turning". I load only three different calibers. im a extreme varmint hunter so accuracy at long ranges is important. I see the guys that load alot have the expensive Neck turner's that do the inside and outside of the neck. So it's new to me an trying to see if my groups will tighten some im shooting sub moa without turning but want no error with my brass that i can correct myself. I just purchased a Hornady Neck turner which only trims the outside of the neck. Is that good enough? I understand the neck forming in the chamber to trap gas but what about the inside diameter with the nicks and bumps will that change bullet tension's?or not be noticeable? Is inside turning as important? If so its one more step im willing to take if in the name of accuracy. Hope this is not a odd question. Thank you for your awesome videos an time.

Thanks again for watching our videos. I have one of the Hornady Neck turning tools also and went down that path to try to improve precision on my .243 Winchester and .308 Ruger Precision Rifle. I never saw good results or any any real improvement. I also learned that if turning is not done correctly, you can have a "donut" form on the inside of the case mouth, where it meets the shoulder. This is caused by not turning the cases correctly at the shoulder. Its a delicate process because while you do not want to cut into the shoulder, you still need to make a smooth transition from the neck to the shoulder. If this is not done correctly, it actually causes more problems. Here are some links to our older videos on this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a5Ijcf0vmQE.htmlsi=vmPXPkw8DOBWR_S6 and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XDWOpUriSLQ.htmlsi=ZCZh3HY-LIrIgv98 I also learned that unless you have a custom chamber, most shooters will see little --if any-- benefit from turning brass (assuming one is using premium brass to start with). If a person really needs to turn necks, the inside/outside machines are probably the way to go, but understand that even with these machines, benefits will be seen only at long range (i.e., 700 yards plus). I hope this helps and answers your questions.

Why I watch you daily, thank you so much for your wisdom. i just learned a lot and saved me a lot of money. I seldom shoot further then 500 meters, and 540 yards, it's what my gun range goes to.
