In this video I show you how to install a battery disconnect switch. Isolator switch install. This can be used on a car or a truck or a camper trailer etc.. This is a summit racing disconnect switch.

Alrighty! Loving me some quality Klowny time this morning! Installation done to perfection. Really liked the shrink tubing and loom you put on the cables. I use the same switch on my pro-street 67 Mustang. I also have a separate kill switch under the hood for the fuel pump. Thanks for sharing and cheers from Motown.

Awesome!!!!, I need one on my camper van but I don't know the wire gauge that my battery is using. Is there anyway around that? Where are you located? Who installs these switches?

Is there any risk to a longer run? IE switching the negative side of the bat between the terminal and grounds with a 4 to 5ft run through the firewall to mount a high amp switch like this under the dash. '73 F250 Highboy

My battery is in front. 05 yukon. I need the switch inside. I was told not to run big guage wire that far. They suggested a relay at battery negative side and use small wires to inside to a smaller type switch. I fail to see the reason why. Disconnecting the negative side should have no effect on the amperage going to the starter. I'm really confused about the opinions on this subject. And the comments from the Marine business said tap into the positive side. Unbelievable confusion

You know that the starter gets it's ground from the engine? So your only talking about the positive side. It's not recommended to use a big cable going inside the car because if the positive cable shorts out..that will be a definite fire...don't forget to subscribe 😉

Why there is no one knows reasons for killing battery?let me tell you,reason is simple,there is water submerged the wires,especially the connection points,caused linkage of electrons.
