How to install a boat seat pedestal 

It's good to see someone do it right. To many boats with sheet metal screws pulling out . This is the right way of doing it if you can't get to the back side to use nuts. One suggestion is to have drilled a couple holes and insert blind nuts , bolt base down then punched and drilled other holes to get them centered.

Do you think I could mount the seat bracket with the spring upside down on the deck, and use that as my base instead of drilling a hole beside for my bolts?

Awesome thank you from stopping me doing it a way stupid way that would of not looked as good as that👍. If the base rips off of the aluminum please update😂👍
