I go over all the numbers and show you how to install this curb / roadside mailbox. Amazon Large Capacity Mailbox: amzn.to/2Vee6nC Currently my Favorite t Shirt: amzn.to/3zFDi5o
Very nice installation. It seems like a small thing, but you can tell how a person tackles the really important jobs by how they treat the seemingly mundane ones. By the way, I think I could park my truck in that beauty. Very nice.
Yea , now that I started reselling again, and we live on a literal dirt road in the country, the less we have to drive into town to deliver packages the better! Dollar saved is a dollar earned!
😂. Snowplow! Maybe a street plow. No snow in my neck of the woods. But we do have a grater that comes down the dirt road to smooth it out. So far, so good.
The part I need to know is what kind of drill to use. Also wood screws and how many. I need the very basics that were kinda glossed over in this video.
I’m installing bigger mailbox because my mail carrier shoves things in until she can’t close the door. Mail is in ditch etc. I really wanted to see how to mount box on post. You did a good job digging the hole etc. Maybe someone will make one that shows attaching mailbox to post.
@@MyLooneyBin thanks, I found another RU-vid where the guy showed part I need. He put 2x12 on top of post, screwed it on post. He then put screws on the sides of mailbox to attach box to the 2x12.
How's that box doing a year later? Is the door still working or did you have to fix the rivet hinge? I'm just checking quality before I buy one because it looks nice and big but we have a different Gibralter that the door kept breaking on. Also, I couldn't tell from the video but did you use a universal mounting bracket to attach the box to the post or did you just screw the box directly to the cross arm? Thanks
It's still working great! I notched out the back of the post so it set flat on that cross brace, and screwed it directly to the cross arm. Mail Lady loves it!
@@MyLooneyBin THank yuo. I'm gonna buy one and will skip the universal mounting bracket and just screw it driectly to the cross arm. Simpler and easier for me!
