@@CreativeProcessDIY let me know if it starts chirping before ten years. Lots of people have said they start acting up after only three years. I’ve even heard these type of smoke detectors chirp while they’re still unboxed, at the store.
@@Photoelectric_Elevators there was another brand I used that didn't last 6 months. Kidde may have been it. I don't even mind that First Alert batteries last 2 or 3 years. I mind that they advertise that it lasts 10.
Please remove your video from the internet. You have installed your smoke detector incorrectly. Smoke detectors must never go in the corners of a ceiling and they must always be at least 4" from the wall. These are dead air spaces. The best place for your smoke detector is on the ceiling at the the center of your room.
Also, he fails to show the MOST confusing part which is attaching the device to the bracket...mine just freely spins and there some type of stupid ass pin you need to remove and I cant figure it out....im not an idiot. Its just a shitty product/design.
