Just bought it and if says it won't work with as a Chime with my Google Nest Doorbell when in battery mode. It's grayed out so I can only get announcements on the phone. A bitty because I only bought it to work as a chime, not for the other functions.
On my Google Home app in Front doorbell settings if I select Doorbell my Ring indoor chime is greyed out also. I can still change the doorbell theme and when someone rings the doorbell I get two tones from the mini speaker and an announcement "Someone is at the front door" through the speaker. I agree it would be nice if Google would update the battery powered doorbell to be able to work as a chime only.
@@Iscaper I figured this out too after testing the bell. It works even though it's grayed out. The sound is somewhat delayed but it works. Would be nice to have the option to disable the voice so it only rings, but otherwise I guess it's fine. Thanks!
The chime on the battery doorbell works with something like a Google mini speaker. It won't work with wired chime that you may already have in your house.

I want the doorbell to ring on my iphone, like using my iphone as the chime, but cant manage to do so. Video works, notifications work, but I cant make it ring on my iphone or ipads. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I cannot hear a door bell chime on my speakers ??? How did you connect it? I cannot connect it to Bluetooth. The chime is greyed out when I click the doorbell tab on google home. I’m so confused
I wish it would just do the chime though and not chime and than say "someone's at the front door bell"...Like obviously isn't that the point of the chime!
At 3:27 what if you only turn on the “Ring indoor chime” function without the “Visitor announcements”? Maybe it’ll just ring the chime tune and not make an announcement.
