If you need belting contact me! I have both 7/32" and 5/16" widths. wyatt@edisondiamonddisc.com If you aren't very good with a sharp razor blade, another method is to use 60 grit sand paper to sand the edge into a bevel
Thank you for the video Wyatt! I wish I knew how to put a belt on. When I bought a new belt for my Edison Home Phonograph. However, now that I have an Edison Standard to restore. I will now know how? To put a new belt on correctly! - Paul
I'm glad I got your belting: the stuff usually provided is too stiff to run smoothly. The best belt I made previously was from skiver taken off an old dress belt: I must confess I'm not as good at beveling the ends, though. The only time I had to glue the belt in place was on my Standard: the Home A, and the Columbia AT and BF, both allowed me to remove the belt before splicing.
Hi Wyatt, good video. Like the wood glue idea. I've used contact cement, messy. We've met at Wayne. You saved a swollen a diamond repro for me, still running good. I am glad I've acquired this skill as I have rescued many women on the side of the road with broken belts! I'll be getting some belting soon, good winter project
