I keep burning through my spot lock. It might be because I don’t have the positive to negative for the 24v required to run it plugged up properly. My wire is red and yours is black. I thought red meant both had to be on positive

It’s per installation instructions of aligning trolling motor straight with keel beam and foot pedal level position. I haven’t seen anyone in any install videos do it so I’m hoping I I won’t need to. Great video !

Doubt the plug used is rated at 60 amps . Get a Marinco 70 amp

I personally found that using my crank battery to power all my electronics minus my trolling motor dangerous. The reason why is having two Garmin 93sv uhd with transducers and two live wells can drain your crank battery. There's two options for the fix. 1st option I have seen this add a 2nd crank battery in parallel or option 2 adding a lithium battery for electronics and accessories.

What was your old trolling motor? Reason I’m asking I’m going from an minn kota edge to an Ultrex and wonder if my holes will line up. Nice video!!
