Now that we have the transmission cross member installed, it's time to install a 1" motor mount lift from JKS. This kit retains raises the engine by 1" but also keeps the factory engine isolates. The factory isolates are much better than any aftermarket isolate if you want to keep engine vibrations low. It's also very cost-effective and has a fairly easy installation process. We also address the pinion angle to see if we can get it dead on.

OEM motor mounts and aluminum spacer blocks (I also went with JKS) are the way to go. You get the lift without the vibration introduced by lifted mounts with harder rubber or polyurethane.

I suggest the Savvy tank skid but I'm guessing that's your choice already.

With your 2.5 inch lift and 33’s do you rub fender off-road? I’ve got the OME 2.5 and I’d like to go with the 33x9.5R15 from Kenda. Mines a 2005. Love your channel. Most of your vids have helped me to repairs and such so thank you! It’s my DD now.

I do not, but I did extend the bump stops. To be safe. Fairly recently I reinstalled my body lift as well. With that I have stock height bump stops and no rubbing. That size tire is very interesting to me. I’d really like to try it some day. Thank you! It’s awesome to hear from subscribers. Glad I’m able to help :). I hope your enjoying your Jeep.

Could you just use washers instead of cutting that bolt? I was thinking what happens if you get crushed! Note to self indeed…. Another great video Mark. I wish you were a neighbor! Lol. Though, you’d probably have to chase me out of the garage.

Hmm. You probably could use a washer, maybe 1/4” flat bar would be better. The only problem is, if you do that. Than you are raising the engine another 1/4 or so over the block height. Depending on the transmission mount setup. It’s may or may not cause problems with your radiator fan shroud, but it’s easy to move the fan shroud around a bit. You got SYE so youre not supposed to have vibrations with pinion angle.... so you font have tu put a engine lift 🤔

Untrue. You can have vibrations with any drive shaft type. All drive shafts require correct pinion angle to prevent vibrations. The motor mount lift helps reduce the issue after installing high clearance skid plates.
