See how to make and install a new downpipe into your gutters and make them more efficient at removing water. This is a step-by-step tutorial of how to do just that. Work done by 24:3 Building W.A. 0415119313.
You bloody legend ! screwdriver and hammer for the cut out! Legendary ! Straight up no dicking around wicked video ! and top it off with from Perth made my day mate hats off to you and bet your phone hasn't stopped ringing after that rain the other night...
4:50 Brilliant video dude i just used your trick to do my downpipe, worked perfectly. I didnt even know they had small and big ends, learnt lots here. Perth for the win 💪
Hey. Unsure if you still check older post comments :) how the heck do you do a side elbow in this type of downpipe. Mine comes off the side of a custom box gutter.. so bends along the 45 mm side to the wall to bend 90° down. Cheers :)
@@dennisperriecheers. I had assumed when I listen to the video again it would be something like that. I should have just thrown the contractor some coin to do it for me lol. I mean he gave me the downpipes for nothing.
Hi mate. Perth local here also....love watching your work. Quick question. How do you go cutting colorbond on your trailer side like that? Any big scrapes and scratches? Cheers
@ML6103 it is fine . I do paint over the metal and the bit that rests on the metal is the back seam. on some downpipes I do leave the plastic on to protect it and take it off after (round downpipes especially as they tend to move more)
@@ML6103 I thought of that but on my trailer, it is too inconvenient. I have also toyed with plywood used like a counter but until it becomes a problem i haven't bothered.
Good evening sir! I’m Chanh , I’m very interested you did on your youtube. I got a square rain downpipe 100 by 100 was leaking. I would like to fix it by myself. But I need a female and male for fit it. Please tell me what size for it ! Thanks a lot!!
You should still need a 100mm downpipe. It will have a big end and a small end. Check the ends they usually mark the small end. Just be careful because sometimes different brands are slightly different sizes.
Sorry I can’t find the number of the end. Please show me the number of female and male to connect the square rain downpipe 100 by 100. My one was leaking. I would like to cut a part and joint it. Thanks
@@JohnBoyWalton06so what if it is ! The job has to be done regardless. You think cutting a little hole like that means instant lung cancer and a death sentence ?
What are the nails with inserts you hammered into the masonry called and are they commonly available? I have to remove some downpipes to replace pvc damaged by whipper snipper.
Why don’t you just cut some pvc pipe, make a slit , add some PBAC glue in the inner part and the. push it over the damage pipe ..put pressure on the new piece for 30 sec!
The repair is for a fitting at the bottom of downtube not a pipe. downtube(rectangle) to round pipe in ground was damaged by whipper snipper .the downtube needs to be removed to access broken fitting. Not a fun job. if there was an easy fix i would go that way. @@Briannafrancis-e9g
@@dennisperrie Thanks Dennis, I want the downpipe to turn a 90 degree corner from where it is and I am clueless with sheetmetal. Your instructions for the bend you did on the video were great, I just wasn't sure they would translate to folding up the 50mm side. So thankyou again.
